    Default AK @ 10NL FR

15/13/ with 5.1% 3 bet and a 30% attempt to steal, another words this guy is situational aware. This is over a 150 hands.

Over 4 times he has folded to 3 bets 100% of the time. In some ways my my preflop 3 bet maybe not the best idea. Since he didn't shove, it is less likely he has AA or KK but that doesn't mean anything. All I know is taht I can assume he has some pockets (55-77) along with KQs, and AQs (if he is a bad, though his stats indicated otherwise).

Flop donk bet confused me, but maybe he firing with air, in any case, he has limited number of draws and raising here will folded out the few hands I beat. Same logic for the turn.

River is an obvious check right? The only thing I beat that he calls with is AQ.

    UTG ($10)
    UTG+1 ($18.77)
    MP1 ($10)
    Hero (MP2) ($12.61)
    CO ($9.79)
    Button ($11.39)
    SB ($13.20)
    BB ($9.98)

    Preflop: Hero is MP2 with A, K
    1 fold, UTG+1 bets $0.40, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.10, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls $0.70

    Flop: ($2.35) 4, K, 9 (2 players)
    UTG+1 bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50

    Turn: ($5.35) Q (2 players)
    UTG+1 bets $3, Hero calls $3

    River: ($11.35) 7 (2 players)
    UTG+1 checks

It is amazing man. It really does help posting this hand, because while I was playing I am confused. But now this seems such an easy check back. Like literally only one hand calls my bet that I beat AQ. Does anyone disagree? Can you help me list them? The only other option is betting something like 2 and folding to a shove. But that just seems dumb, actually it is dumb. Check is the best thing here.

Anyone have thoughts on preflop 3 bet?

3 bet all day, 4 folds is not enough to draw conclusions.

IMO, if you think he only calls the 3 bet with a tighter range, then you can take out JT from his range and you have just a bit over 50% equity vs his calling range, then consider the fact hes probably not checking his flushes, you have enough over 50% vs his calling range to bet fold like $4.

you can probably 3bet/fold quite comfortably in these positions at this level.

I think the 3bet is better than a call because you are in MP1, so it chases out other hands behind you, plus the UTG+1 will let you know if you are crushed by raising his KK/AA (probably?).

But his UTG+1 range is so tight that you aren't going to get much to fold. If his average stats are 15/13 and he steals 30% from late position, then his UTG+1 PFR% is probably closer to 6%, which gives him an initial PFR range of something like: { 88+,AJs+,KQs,AQo+ }. 3betting will just reduce that range even further after he calls.

I think the problem here is that you won't really win any big pots with AK, but you can easily lose some big pots if you aren't careful. So even if you flop TPTK, you need to accept that you can't get 3 streets of value from worse hands.

I think this hand was played well, though, assuming you checked the river.
