i dont like preflop - and i think that influences all our later street decisions - its also the reason why you are stuck on how to play the flop.
Your relative position to the PFR'er sucks - youre options suck - your actions on teh flopare either a flop c/r with others to act (its likely the limpers will call if you do preflop) and any action = behind or you have to lead which is apretty ugly spot with a TP hand OOP vs multiple opponents and no initiative.
Also - what flops do you like other than spades and probably AJx? - i dont like Axx OOP or Jxx OOP when you cant determine everyone elses ranges easily because of your crappy relative position.
Therefore preflop is fold or 3bet IMO - and 3betting is probably gross (i havent done any math just gut feeling based on opps PFR%) so its a fold.
Poker is surely about not getting in tough spots and putting our opponents in tough spots - and while AJs is pretty i dont think here you can call preflop without getting in a difficult spot. I would much rather call with 54s here as you can play that hand knowing where you are after the flop.
As played you have to donk because every other option sucks with a TP OOP but i wouldnt get in this spot to begin with as preflop plays differently for me.
If you were in position this hand is so different.
