Default AJs in SB @ FR 25NL

Button is a tag, with 28 ATS over 500 hands. I have been very aggersive at this table. For example a few hands ago I took line of 3 bet flop pot turn shove river, guy folded. Ever time I have raised I have c-bet, poeple have been folding, every time.

    Button is 11/6, with a 4% 3 bet.
    MP1 is 9/0 over 35 hands
HJ is 84/16 and can be pretty aggro

Button range here is pretty wide though maybe tighter than the 28% ATS suggest. But even at 21% I have 56% equity.

The problem with this flop, is that if I bet I have to commit against the button, which likely make me behind. Checking here doesn't make sense here since I crush the range of my opponent but this is a multiway pot.

    How do you guys plays?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    UTG ($11.20)
    UTG+1 ($28.30)
    MP1 ($25)
    MP2 ($25.80)
    MP3 ($31.40)
    CO ($25.15)
    Button ($18.70)
    Hero (SB) ($35.30)
    BB ($25)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, J
    2 folds, MP1 calls $0.25, 1 fold, MP3 calls $0.25, 1 fold, Button bets $1.25, Hero calls $1.15, 1 fold, MP1 calls $1, MP3 calls $1

    Flop: ($5.25) 6, 7, J (4 players)

preflop is definitely most interesting part of this hand.

    as played, obv lead out.

I'm kinda stumped on preflop cuz I don't really ever face the practical situation of facing an opponent with a 6% pfr yet a 28% ats, thus I have no idea what he's thinking/isolating with here :/

I guess it's okay because we can be sure the other players will call and give u a good price or w/e, you can draw to the nut flush etc.

def lead out the flop because when you try to c/c your relative position really sucks/you aren't getting value frmo the weaker players

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMMIT TO THE HAND JUST BECAUSE YOU HAVE TOP PAIR AND DECIDE TO LEAD! PLEASE THROW THAT POS PNL BOOK IN THE GARBAGE - YOUR COMMITMENT DECISIONS ARE NEVER SET IN STONE YOU CAN ALWAYS BAIL WHEN THE CONDITIONS LEAD TO SUCH A PLAN BEING YOUR BEST OPTION.

How much do you lead? I lead 4.75. Button calls turn is K of hearts?

    What now?

ask yourself what his likely calling range for your lead would be and then how he's likely to play his from the turn on

i dont like preflop - and i think that influences all our later street decisions - its also the reason why you are stuck on how to play the flop.
Your relative position to the PFR'er sucks - youre options suck - your actions on teh flopare either a flop c/r with others to act (its likely the limpers will call if you do preflop) and any action = behind or you have to lead which is apretty ugly spot with a TP hand OOP vs multiple opponents and no initiative.
Also - what flops do you like other than spades and probably AJx? - i dont like Axx OOP or Jxx OOP when you cant determine everyone elses ranges easily because of your crappy relative position.
Therefore preflop is fold or 3bet IMO - and 3betting is probably gross (i havent done any math just gut feeling based on opps PFR%) so its a fold.

Poker is surely about not getting in tough spots and putting our opponents in tough spots - and while AJs is pretty i dont think here you can call preflop without getting in a difficult spot. I would much rather call with 54s here as you can play that hand knowing where you are after the flop.

As played you have to donk because every other option sucks with a TP OOP but i wouldnt get in this spot to begin with as preflop plays differently for me.
If you were in position this hand is so different.

I am surprised to hear that Fold>3 bet. With his high ATS and the likelihood that I can just take it. Folding here just feels gross.

Flatting from the blinds with multiple (aggro) limpers ahead of you and a marginal hand sets you up for difficult decisions. I agree completely with what Miffed had to say ... 3bet/fold pre.
Tilt is poker cancer. You catch it, you die.

i would 3bet this against 80% of the TAGG players in the games i play, but thats where their is at least some history and i know they are stealing the pot.
Can you say the same for the player here - my first impression was 3bet >fold>>>>call but i dont think you can turn round and say a 100nl fr game = 25nl fr etc etc

Reason I think calling here was good has more to do with people not in the hand. If I 3 bet they are all gone. And the more top tier hands I can play against the HJ the better.

Also, if I was just against the Button, I still think calling here is better than 3 betting, since my hand has 58% equity and this guy will c bet. I am assuming I am equally skilled as he is. Thus, as long as my position doesn't offer me a greater than 16% disadvantage it is a call.

    i 3bet pre to 3.5.. i feel this is > folding > calling.

as played i lead about 4.. obv a shit spot because if button raises here you'd have to let it go, but theres an abundance of hands he raises here that you are in front of like QJ, KJ that he is trying to get HU against L/Cers, flush draws..

so i lead with the intention of folding should i be raised here, and if called, c/cing most turns
