    Default Aggression w/ air

$2NL or $10NL (don't know if there's really a difference..) Assume no real reads.

Have AK, AKs, AQs, AQ, AJs, KQs... standard raise from position PF. Get 1 or 2 callers. Miss the flop. Board has no obvious draws, and I am unimproved (just overcards w/ no draws). I c-bet for 1/2 the pot and get called. Still unimproved on the turn (and no obvious draws completed on the board). Either checked to me or OOP so bet first...

Should I bet again for 1/2 the pot for a second barrel? Or check in position for a free card (and hope to improve) or OOP (and fold if they bet into me)?

Did a 5K hand session review yesterday, and I think I'm leaking a lot of BBs by double barrelling unimproved overs without any draw to back them up. Average hand costs me 3BB (PFR) + 5BB (Flop Cbet) + 9-10BB (Turn bet) to end up with nothing on the river. Sometimes I luck out and they fold to my Turn bet. More often they call and then bet into me on the river if I check unimproved.

I know there are no "rules"... but don't want to be a spewtard either... In general, is it better to get away from unimproved overs after the flop or at least bet thru the turn and dump if unimproved on the river?

Too many variables. I will fire again in many cases and check in many cases.

Bet what you bet when you have a hand. Generally, bet more when you don't want callers and less when you do, but be sure to mix it up.

In low limits it is profitbale to cbet most of the time and then you are generally better off checking turn when you miss unless you read they are on a draw. If you play like you can get anyone to fold with aggression, villains quickly pick up on that and stack you. Believe me, I make a lot of $ off those type of players!

dont bet 1/2 pot. it entices too many callers/suckouts (not that you are necessarily ahead when cbetting). its also "cheap" to raise you if they are playing with 50+ bb stacks. they can still raise you and avoid committing themselves.

if you cbet 3/4 to psb, and they want to raise you, they must risk more to "test" you, and therefore, its easier to just give up when they whiff, too.

dont cbet too often oop, either. imo, you should be mixing in about 1/4, 1/4, 1/4, 1/4 increments of cbet, c/r, check/call, check fold, respectively.

when in position, i cbet almost all the time if checked to.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

Yeah... I have the tendency to push this sh!t too far... Took me forever to learn to get away from AK in limit. Would happily bet right thru the river w/ nothing and lose 80+% of the time. I'm guessing there is a bit of a different situation between 6max and FR and I may get more power from more agression with the former. But in FR I find more often than not SOMEBODY landed SOMETHING ... and if it ain't me, I just gotta let it go....

    Thanks for the info!
