Default Adventures at Party poker (pt 1)

Well, got back onto Party when they unfroze my account and fortunately took up right where I left off.

However two hands stuck out for me as problem hands and I'd love to get some analysis on them.
I've just come to the table, no reads, no image.

Hope the format is okay.It lists it as 6 handed though there were 8 players... two were perhaps sitting out, I don't quite recall.

At this level, people pay you off with a worse hand often enough to stick around on somewhat scary boards when you hold a solid hand, especially if they're acting passively.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

First hand looks fine. Maybe raise a bit more preflop.

Second hand looks pretty good too. The preflop call is marginal, I wouldn't make it at higher stakes. Here I suppose you can't give much respect to a minraise. I like the turn raise by the way, and the river check/call. wp

I think you can call in the second hand. You have a cheap shot at a decent A and a flush draw and at these stakes a T is usually a good kicker. Just dont let the pot get huge when all you have is the pair of Aces.

Also the formatting is fine but I like to stick the extra 0s in to make it clearer to read e.g. $0.30 instead of $0.3
Dont know about anyone else but i find it alot easier to read like that.
gabe: Ive dropped almost 100k in the past 35 days.

That's more or less what I did. I decided to leave the pot as it was (nice size) because there seems to be no way of telling from their betting whether they have AQ or xx...

It seemed a bit passive though, that I just called and checked. Sort of feel that I ought to be raising or folding; but is it okay with these kind of flops after getting some action to just wait and see? Any tips about when passivity is really an option?

So far as results go (not that they are the most important thing). The first guy had QJ. Don't understand that. The second guy had JT.

I've been trying a few converters, they all seem to have issues with some of the stranger hands. (I've got my own convertor, under development, but that freaks out when people are sitting out or when the button hops to an empty chair...)
