I guess this could go is Online Card Rooms but I think it gets more traffic here. Courtie you can move it if you like.

I recently signed up through a rakeback affiliate using their bonus code for Absolute Poker. When signing up through there I guess I searched for Absolute Poker and cardplayer.com popped up. Well, I must have clicked on Absolute through cardplayer.com banner instead because Absolute is saying I did.

I received this email.

Normally players get linked to affiliates two ways, either through a banner or text link that was clicked on by the player at the affiliate's site or through a referral.

Affiliates site id's are unique to their account and can't be mixed up with another affiliate's site id.
the fact that you are linked to www.cardplayer.com means that one way or another you clicked through one of their banners or text links and then got re-directed to the Absolute Poker main site.

The moment that you are re-directed to the AP site a tracking cookie gets installed in your computer that identifies you as their player.

Unfortunately, as stated before the moment for you to be linked correctly to the affiliate of your choice is through initial registration. And once your account is linked to an affiliate we can not change you over to another one.

Our Terms and Conditions state that players are an affiliate's for the life of the player and we cannot compromise our terms and conditions by changing players from one affiliate to another.

Thanks for choosing Absolute Poker! If there is anything else we can help you with, feel free to let us know. Please quote your member ID in any correspondence for fastest service.
So what are my options here? Can I shut this absolute account down and then sign up for a new one with a different email? Would that be allowed with the same IP address. I guess I have made a real money account b/c I played in the FTR freeroll last night, cashed, and then played with the winnings after that. I want to withdraw that (~+50) and then start over fresh. Is that at all possible? Damnit Absolute has the best rb/bonus possible but they are being really hard headed.

Any suggestions?
