The problem is that at the lower levels there are more FISH than weak-tights. Fish DON'T suffer from this structure. In fact they'll call your pushes with K40... when you have T9s
It wasn't CORRECT for him to call because you could have had a better hand. But because a fish is so loose he's costing BOTH YOU AND HIM money by calling here. Since one of you won't make it ITM if your stacks are very close.
Also, the weak-tights can be saved for later when the blinds are big.
I think I second this, your folding equity goes way down at lower level SnGs because there is so many calling station fishey wisheys. 'Oh look I have a King, the second best card, Kings can win, call...' When you have 4x bb and two calling stations on your left it turns into a bit of a need cards situation.
