    Default AA in BB

I just sat down at this table. I am maybe 4 hands in, so no stats no reads. I wanted to isolate to HU and then that failed, so I bet out hoping to push someone off a drawing hand. However, with a 3way pot, the odds and implied odds on a draw are much better.

    Questions
Is the preflop raise enough? How much should I have betout on the flop?

Would probably choose a slightly larger raise size pre-flop, like .35 or so.

Why are you betting to get worse hands to fold? That makes no sense.

The flop is super wet with lots of possible high-card pairs and flush draws and straight draws, so I like potting the flop, or whatever the closest amount is to an even big blind (ie: .75).

OK, raise more prelfop and bet pot on flop.

If you pot the flop and both call with their likely draws or Jx you can jam a safe turn card w/o over betting the pot.

Yeah don't bet the flop for value or any important reason, bet the flop to make people fold hands they are never going to fold...

Pushing someone off a drawing hand is exactly what you don't want. You want them to call and overpay for draws. Then try and don't pay them off when they hit.

I hope you made a note about utg. He's limped in ep with Q9o, then called a raise, then called a gutshot. Right click his name, see if he's playing any more tables, become his "friend".

As for 89s, I can see why he's coming into the pot. I'm interested to know what suit he has, if he has diamonds I can understand the slow play, but if not then he's a muppet to slow play the nuts on this flop 3-handed.

And well done for being in the 2% of $5nl players capable of folding AA.

This is very improtant to the OP to read. You can always tell a fish when they are willing to push people off of 35% or less equity instead of thinking value.

playing over pairs oop is difficult i think a good goal in poker is to try to make your decision easier for yourself, bet until your opponent shows aggression to the flop ip until then you are going to be ahead a large % of time until you all see a turn card.
I learned how to play from this software called Leakbuster it's within HM if you use that as your poker tracking software, it goes well into detail about how to play better poker oop.

personally at 5nl with fishy limpers i'd make it 8x preflop. bet very close to pot on the flop, and look to get the rest of the money in on "safe" turn cards. as played, yeah i C/F the 8 on the turn because you only really beat JQ,JK and are likely to be value-towning yourself betting a naked overpair on JT87 turn board into two players who called a flop bet
