Default A4s get it in 5b time?

villain is very active, so am i, button is bad. 9-handed villain has 7% 3b and 75% fold to 3b if that is relevant?

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) - PokerStars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    MP ($34.05)
    Button ($43.70)
    Hero (SB) ($50.25)
    BB ($58.75)
    UTG ($20)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 4
2 folds, Button bets $1.50, Hero raises to $5, BB raises to $12, 1 fold, Hero mashes big bet button? folds?

    Total pot: $11.50 | Rake: $0

Just fold, people at 50NL don't cold 4b bluff enough to warrant a 5b bluff.

Does he expect the BTN to do something retarded like flat or to spazz out with some medium-strength holding? Probably just folding.

    Fold.
If it were just you and the BB then the % of time that you can get him to fold might make it worth while, but when he cold 4b into two players it makes his hand appear much stronger.

And when we 5b into his strong range, that makes our range super-strong from villain's perspective. Having said that, we're 5betting pretty much half of our stack, meaning it's going to be very tough to fold to a shove, we'd be getting the right price to call against all of his range bar AA. I don't mind 5b/f line pre if we're doing it cheaply, since it increases our ev when we hold AA/KK, but this doesn't look cheap, there's almost no suckout implied odds and very little fold equity. He's almost always stacking off to a 5bet and we're almost always dominated. Just accept he's standing his ground and fold imo.

I think the time to 5b bluff would be when it's deep stacked and HU (the villain might be inclined to 4b light) instead of when he just 4bet into two players.

If we've got a read that he'll 4b light multiway then sure, I'd shove; but without that read then I'd fold.

Fold. Isnt it just easy to fold PF rather than playing this hand out of position ..

it's the right kind of hand to use for a 3b/jam line imo, but i wouldnt automatically do it every time i'm in this situation. depends on my recent/long-term history with the player, how i think he has been playing this session compared to "normal", whether he could be tilted, whether i think he would think me capable/likely to jam as a bluff here or not, etc etc etc.
