pre: im basically setmining, flop: woo nuts, betting meh size to get other opps more committed with fds, sds, and such. given bu's raise, im figuring him for overpairs mostly, maybe an oesfd or a silly 8, and im just trying to get more chips in from everyone. turn: if bu's range was overpairs, or maybe a raw 8, this is pretty much the worst card for me.

river: ???? maybe this should have been a b/f? but i dont know what im beating here.

    thoughts?

I think I'd have jammed on the flop, like you I'd assume he's got an 8 or overpair and all the money would have been going in on the flop.

The way its played tho, I'd fold the river, overpair your beat and there's a good chance he'd have called your preflop raise with just 89s or A8s.

More or less a cooler mate cos lets face it, you'd want all the cash in on the flop and you'd have lost to an unlucky turn/river!

yuck the river gets even more of his range there. With his flop raise the only hands you beat are non-A club draws (given pre maybe KQcc, KJcc) and, even less likely, T9, maybe even T9cc (remember a 21/15 will play a wider range on the button, but he did raise a limper).

I'm just not sure there is 25% of his range that is like this. Which I suppose makes for a crying fold.
This is not my signature. I just write this at the bottom of every post.
