What do we know so far from his reads. UTG will bet flop with medium strength hands. We also know MP1 posted so his range could be huge.
So either we don't want to raise because we may chase a potential caller away, or we don't want to raise because we do not infact have a very strong hand yet. (I am sure there is another option which is the right one I have missed).
The effective stacks here are almost $6, yet the pot size on the flop is not large in comparison (0.22), so if we did plan to "get it in" by the end, we had better start on the flop.
This board is not "drawy", the possible draws are only draws to a straight with hands like T8 or 56, usually unlikely hands for an UTG call.
So I believe the correct play is to simply call the river in hopes of getting MP1 to come along, building a bigger pot with which we can push a little on the turn?
Am I anywhere close?
