My question is if I played my cards right. Should I have folded when he raised the flop? I 3betted him to find out if he actually had a hand. And I was planning to bet again on the turn.

When he re-raised me preflop, I was thinking he had something like AK or AQ, so he would have missed the flop. I would have bet again on the turn but then the K popped up.
