My question is if I played my cards right. Should I have folded when he raised the flop? I 3betted him to find out if he actually had a hand. And I was planning to bet again on the turn.

When he re-raised me preflop, I was thinking he had something like AK or AQ, so he would have missed the flop. I would have bet again on the turn but then the K popped up.

You could have bet-folded the turn.

I don't know if anyone else has had a similar experience, but a limp or min-raise followed by a 4-bet is often AK, AA, KK or QQ at the micros. You will sometimes see other pocket pairs or high suited connectors (KQs, QJs, maybe even J10s) but its more rare.

I don't get it. Making 99 look bluffy for value on the flop then figuring that "bluffing" the K would be too bluffy for value?
