Don't be so afraid of "scaring everyone off" by betting. You hit big, get your money in.

Why would you choose these betsizes?

Think about the pot odds you offer and his range.

Force your opponent to make more mistakes than you, ie - offer them poor odds to draw to a better hand. By minraising that flop, you're giving 3.5 to 1 odds (he needs to call 22c in to 78c). So you're basically saying, here, play perfectly against me.

Shouldn´t we be concerned about the villain having KK on the river? I understand that it´s a mistake to let him get that far cheaply and then make his hand, but raising the river? Am I just a pussy?

The fact that you don't get stacks in here makes your preflop call bad.

If you are not doubling up vs. a tight UTG range when you hit, you are just bleeding money. Raise to at least 60 cents on the flop, as played, bet near 3/4-pot on turn.

just terrible. take the following as a rule of thumb

-don't setmine vs people who have a wide opening range , you want to target nits so they pay you off.

-don't make retarded betsizes like clicking it back. that's just LOLbad. You see people clicking it back higher up but with reason/levveling wars. I have barely ever clicked it back at 10 nl ( lol 10 nl just to make my point ) and when i did i was probably wrong to do so.

-play for freaking sets. this is a dreamflop if villain is a non thinking nit. To him this looks like : omfg he reraises me he must be on a draw. play the flop, turn hard and fast nearly 100% of the time at microstakes on wet flop vs nits.

Yes, KK is gonna show up here every once in a while. So is 88 and in rare cases 77. If he has 88 or 77 we were fucked from the beginning. If we played right we lol sigh and reload because set over set happens sometimes. Price of playing poker. Although it's doubtful he's got either of those because he'd have reraised us on this flop, looking to get the money in there.

Actually it's hard for him to have AA/KK here either because he also would (should) reraise those otf. He's a 9/6 which usually means he plays monsters, wants to get paid when he has them and is gonna charge us to see the turn when the flop is this coordinated.

But I digress, if we bet correctly and get the chips in with the best hand and he catches the river then good for him. Again we lol sigh, kick the dog or whatever makes us feel better, reload and move on.

raise flop bigger, you're giving direct odds to flush draws, straight draws, etc, and you want to stack him. You could also call flop i guess, but better to simply raise it up. Don't minraise.
