Does level really matter? I think the main issue with small connectors at lower levels where any two suited will do is that opponents either slow down much more when the flop has a flush draw or bet out strong to kill the odds. The former usually happens when there are multiple players on the flop and the latter with 3 or less from my experience. I'm finding more of my profit from small suited connectors comes from back dooring a not so obvious straight. Overall I give more weight to 4-5 up and am more cautious with 2-3 and 3-4.
