I am not sure what the correct move is when I am in a situation where I have a set or 2pr against a heavy draw board. My typical move is to push and hope for the best. However, since I have been losing quite a few of these to the made draw I thought I would ask for some advice.

Maybe it's better to half bet the pot and run like a chicken if it hits?
