Being fairly new to poker, I'm hoping for some comments on my thought process, bet sizes, or anything else that strikes our more veteran players (which compared to me is almost everyone :P ).

Villain was 77/8 after 13 hands.

My thoughts during the hand: I checked to maybe see a free card (which I'm not sure if that was a mistake or not). When he min bid on the flop I put him on some sort of weak str draw or other weak hand and so raised because I'm not letting him see another card for a 1 BB bet. Turn looks good for me (to me anyway) and by the river I'm fairly certain I'm ahead and looking to extract some extra value, but I didn't think he would go AI. He only had $1.19 left though, so should I have just bet $1.20? That's still less than 1/2 pot, although it obviously would put him AI.

Anyway, that was my basic thought process - did I butcher this hand, play it OK, or something in between? :P
