4 to a flush flop

when do you fold a nut flush draw on the flop?

just looking for standard examples/situations of where we fold NFD on the flop....

lets assume 100BB eff stacks in all cases.

Pretty much when we have a read that our opponent has better than 2p and they bet close to the size of the pot.

Why not bet 4xBB first. It doesn't look like a nut flush draw and villian will be more apt to call than re-raise. You may get more value if you hit the flush and by betting first, you may get to your flush cheaper.

I agree that a pot sized bet would be a scary call.

There are waaaayyy too many scenario's that will require different decisions to make general statements like this one. How TAGG/LAGGY are your opponents? Are you in our out of position? Were you the pre-flop aggressor or not? How many people are in the pot? How strong is your hand if you don't hit the nut flush? And on and on and on.

It may be better to review your HH's and find some concrete examples to post as those are much easier to provide insight on.

NFD on the flop = approx. 2:1 that you'll hit by the river. With that in mind, I would...

a) Never fold on the flop, even against a HU push. This is prolly not correct from pure odds perspective... but f-it... I've obv got an A (or wouldn't have NFD) plus some outs for two pair or trips even, so I've got enough odds to felt this and gambool for the ride.
b) Never, ever fold this if it's multi-way. You only need 2 people to come along $ for $ and you got the pot odds straight up to go along for the ride.
c) Depending on stack sizes, I'd prolly shove over a decent HU CB or Raise so I can pick up a little Fold equity on top of it all.

That's overly simple response prolly, but I'm an overly simple person...
