my attempt. Interested in people's thoughts.
consider all options etc
1 - don't fold. Call or raise? We are ahead most of the time, and have monster equity when behind. If we call and hit the turn we're unlikely to get much more fish $$ cos board will be way too scary and we look like a draw after we call. 80bb effective. Villain's donk sizing suggests he won't fold too often so raise it up. Sizing? I like smaller to keep villain in with his weak made hands. $7.75. Turn depends on pot size and flop action. Assuming we raised to $7.75 and villain called = pot is is about $18 with $32 behind. $12 on turn.
2 - meh, is a likely reg calling 55/88/QQ oop here? dscount 55/88 heaps. QQ maybe but he 4b that sometimes, if he can have QQ then he can have KK/KQ/AQ, etc. TT/JJ can do this too. No likely draws. Flop 3bet for value doesn't get much value. It's closer to a fold than it seems, but call.
3 - Need more reads really. I mean, if we know he's aggro reg then we know a bunch more about him that just that. 300bb deep at a standard table with an aggro reg to our right makes this a pretty bad seat unless there is a big fish at the table. Even then it's not a great seat, but could be worth going with. Flop is interesting. Villain has a flush draw often when he calls, set sometimes, overpair very rarely. He isn't folding much of that cos implied+stack size etc. Bet turn $24, get it in if he raises it up. Check turn could be ok, except that check-raising turn is too strong. Fake block most rivers.
