25NL Middle two facing River c/r

Ok, villain is unknown, my first few hands at table. I'm obviously bluff catching, OR if we assume he's capable of slowplaying on this very drawy board OOP, then I think we can assume he's stupid enough to do this w/ overpair type value. The main thing is he's full stacked and hasn't open limped any in the first orbit which usually means he's not a total tard and I just don't see an OOP slowplay w/ sets and straights, Weak hands I probably fold out IP like J9, Maybe JJ and then of course maybe slowplayed crap. This was just a really quick look at it, and wondered what others thought here.

btw, I see him doing this with 78 all day and the board is not that drawy that calling an obviously strong raise and looking to c/r a blank river with the nuts is bad.

78 kinda makes sense, that's not a huge range though, what else? I mean, a river c/r range.

Also, is your sig about poker, or chess? Could go either way I think.

Well any set is possible. It doesn't have to be a wide value range that beats you, your opponent just isn't taking this line ever with a hand that you're ahead of.

EDIT: sig was conceived of while thinking about tennis, but I think it applies to a lot of games, poker being one of them. I never thought about chess but I wouldn't say the rules are logical. Not to say poker's rules (in terms of hand rankings) are incredibly logical but the rules regarding betting could not be any other way. And just from those rules we have so many options and variations that it's beautiful to think about. Chess is equal or greater in complexity, but not so beautiful in the simplicity of its rules.

Makes sense, like I said didn't think about it alot but yeah that makes sense, I think I overestimated in the moment the amount of draws on the turn. BTW, I have no way to convince you of this so I wont try, but, I c-bet this flop almost always, I don't recall why I decided not to.
