Default 10NL : Overpair IP facing min c/r on drawy board

    Villian Stats : (VP$IP/PFR [Street Aggression] 3-bet%)

    BB : 25/20 [8 inf inf] 7%

    My Thoughts And Questions

Villian seems to have decent stats.

This spot i hate so very much. U got an overpair IP and u get min c/r on a drawy board.

Now looking at his stats i would think that he is a thinking player and would put in a decent c/r to protect his two pairs and sets vs my BTN range which is very wide.

So does this mean that he is trying soome silly sneaky c/r move with a draw ?

Then must my plan for the hand be to 3-bet? How do i react to a 4-bet?

    Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players

    CO: $14.00
    Hero (BTN): $19.80
    SB: $4.60
    BB: $12.75
    UTG: $8.75

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with K K
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 1 fold, BB calls $0.20

    Flop: ($0.65) 5 9 7 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.40, BB raises to $0.90, Hero?

Decided to post this hand as well as it a very similar spot.

    Villian Stats : (VP$IP/PFR [Street Aggression] 3-bet%)

    SB : 29/24 [8 2 3] 11% over 155 hands.

    My Thoughts And Questions

Is calling the turn and river ok ?

    just call and evaluate turn
sure, it might be profitable to 3b and felt (if you 3b you HAVE to call a 4b or it's pointless) if you think he will shove a flush draw, but we're in position and we can control the pot better

Could you elaborate more on evaluating a turn please.

When the villian leads on turn again what cards are we calling/folding/rasing ?

If villian checks turn to us then we are betting regardless right ?

I don't like PF is 2 and I'm as loose as they get in LP.

It's obv. an open otb, but the blinds have to be ridic. tight (as well as the button) for me to open K7s here.

River is a call in 2, it's not like our hand as really improved with the turn and river coming king-king, we still beat his bluffs, c/r'd flush draws, etc and lose to his sets.

What's not good about pre in hand no.2? You're obviously not as loose as they get in LP because I think it's a very fine open (depending on BTN's tendencies obv)

As played I call down aswell vs an unknown bu I'm prepared to see a boat here a decent % of the time. I'll make a note after the hand so he's not unknown anymore.

It depends on what other hands you're opening but I would imagine having K7s in your CO range makes you open about 30% from that spot minimum, which to me is a bit loose.

Just checked HEM and you're right. Folded to me in the CO I'm playing 33/33. But it should be clear by now that I don't "have a CO opening range" There are situations (tight BTN, weak blinds e. g.) where I'm waaay looser from the CO and conversely I can be a pretty big nit from the CO aswell. I guess on average that amounts to 33/33 (table/seat selection ftw)

Also I find it funny that the guy who taught me how to be a spewmonkey tells me I'm to loose.

    calling almost any turn
we're also betting almost any turn, but it's ok to check a heart back because he only has a backdoor draw with an ace of hearts
so if the turn was a heart and we elected to check it back we're calling any river
