Default 10NL AQo BTN, 3rd hand at the table

Both villains (HJ and SB) have folded pre-flop on the prior 2 hands.

PRE: I think I was busy opening tables, and either mis-clicked or flatted for FPS-tard reasons. I was actually surprised to see that I flatted a min-raise w/ AQo on the BTN when I was going over HH.
Normally I'd raise to ~$0.80 here. Thoughts?

OTF: When the min-raiser bets out, I'm thinking, "Yaaaaaaay! I disguised my hand and now I'm V-towning this tool." Then I get c/r 3-bet jammed by SB.

    Bovada - $0.10 NLHE - 9 players

    UTG: $12.40
    UTG+1: $7.20
    MP1: $6.59
    MP2: $1.88
    HJ: $2.85
    CO: $35.22
    Hero BTN: $9.85
    SB: $5.78
    BB: $1.73

SB posts SB $0.05, BB posts BB $0.10

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.15) Hero has A Q

UTG calls $0.10, fold, fold, fold, HJ raises to $0.20, fold, Hero calls $0.20, SB calls $0.15, BB calls $0.10, UTG calls $0.10

    Flop: ($1.00, 5 players) 9 7 A
SB checks, BB checks, UTG checks, HJ bets $0.35, Hero raises to $1.20, SB raises to $9.60 (all-in), fold, fold, fold, Hero...

Any thoughts on flop raise sizing?

    Hero folds.

Why where you raising the flop?

The flop is super dry only draws are T8 TJ 56 no flush draws. You have a strong made hand that doesn't need much protection on that flop. Calling you can keep him outright bluffing on future streets or vtowning himself with worse Ax combos, also calling for pot control on a 5 handed flop, SB BB calling ranges pre are weighted towards pp's and OL can also be PP's so theirs a decent chance you'll be check raised here from sets also 2pairs combos, raising on such a dry board really isolates you against the top of villains ranges if they decide to continue and is likely to fold out their weaker ranges that you want to keep bluffing or check calling.

Yeah raise pre as you mentioned and sizing seems fine.

    Def 3bet preflop
Postflop the raise isn't bad but don't expect to get action from much worse. It's a good way to either take the pot down or know when you're behind. In this situation you've obviously behind, so fold.
My blog/operation where ill gladly discuss all my poker thoughts/hands etc, all welcome: http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...os-192003.html

Betting for information or to take the pot down is a massive leak, the exception is with c-betting but that's more "collecting dead money" than "taking the pot down" - the difference is taking the pot down you pretty much always have the best hand but are too scared to play it optimally.

The flop is an easy flat to keep in worse hands.
