That's a different topic. We'll call that - "When to Bet on the River". If he doesn't bet the river then it's 50/50 on whether he was also on the draw or is holding a weak ace. In this case I would ask myself - "Who would call me here IF I DO BET?" I'm thinking Only a weak ace would call - which means Only the hand that beats me will call me and ANY hand I beat will fold. So I check here. But that's the question. WHO WOULD CALL MY RIVER BET when I have 2nd best hand? If I'm betting because I'm trying to win more money, I want to be sure I'm going to take the hand when he calls.
