Agreed. But he needs to learn not to do this which is why he's here.
Primarily, imo, he needs to learn that when he's betting to out price draws it's not because he wants them to fold but because he wants them to call and that that makes him money.
I think at one point in time we all thought we were wanting folds in these situations and I think a major breakthrough in poker comes with learning to exploit villains who make calls without odds instead of hoping they'll fold. And only after that realizing that they sometimes hit. Variance is a bitch.
