Default $25nl AKs on bb vs utg

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed) - PokerStars Hand Converter from HandHistoryConverter.com

    SB ($19.82)
    Hero (BB) ($25)
    UTG ($11.99)
    UTG+1 ($26.64)
    MP1 ($26.03)
    MP2 ($27.82)
    MP3 ($26.84)
    CO ($15.89)
    Button ($11.55)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A, K
UTG bets $0.75, 4 folds, CO calls $0.75, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2.50, UTG raises to $4.50, fold, Hero?

Villain is Russian, but seems competent. No HUD running since my desktop is fucked and my lappy is too shit to handle more than one programme. Over a sample of 100ish hands, he's 3bet me once and not shown down anything crazy, in fact I'm not sure he's shown down anything. I'd guess he's running something like 15/14. Zero notes.

I feel this is a pretty easy fold to 4bet, esp given sizing, but should I even be continuing to his utg open? And is my 3bet sizing ok vs a shortie and call monkey in lp? fwiw, CO is a fish, calling too many raises.

I messed up the HH, obv CO folds to utg 4bet. (corrected OP)

So this doesn't look like KK+ to you guys? It's the sizing that's got me, not the fact he 4bet. If he 4bet shove I call pretty easily.

    Folding is bad then?

I probably just flat pre. Once I get an image as a 3b'or/squeezer, we can 3b/shove this shallow, but 1) without that mention of dynamic in op, I assume that villain isn't getting it in with AQ or bluffs 2) it still might be more +eV to keep the fish in.

I don't think he 4bets AQ. I might be wrong, I don't have any stats on him, but he hasn't done anything that prompted me to take notes, he's been sitting there quietly and not getting involved in any noticable action. I certainly do not think this guy is bluffing utg, I can't remember him raising into my blind yet, something I prob should've added in the op. I did expect him to r/c AQ though, it's not my first bb squeeze, though obv it is against utg.

I didn't even think about the benefit of keeping the fish in the hand. It seemed like a standard squeeze to me, fish merely putting dead money in.

3b/calling 4b(5b shoving) w/ AKs in a FR game is ALWAYS going to be pure spew here unless the UTG opener is absolutely insane. It's usually going to be pure spew in a 6m game but we do it just because the 3b is still the most profitable way to play it even though we lose money on average when the money goes in.

Our initial 3b is pretty terrible considering how much it sucks to have a little over the pot left when we get to the flop and we hate life when he 4b shoves.

edit: The first paragraph assumes 40bb stacks btw. So once we are 50bb deep it becomes horrrrrrrrrrible to be like lol AKs let's get it in!

Oh I thought we were saying bluff more so we can get in AK v 50bb stacks or w/e.

Anyway if CO is absolutely horrible I guess you can get away w/ 3bing here although I'd prefer to take a flop w/ AKs even OOP because you have really good relative position postflop and AKs flops real good.

edit: In case some people don't understand why we have good relative position. Basically the reg will cbet a tonne--->Then fish acts--->We get to act after both players has made their actions a high % of the time which means we essentially gain the BTN.
