It seems to me you only have two options. You can call, or you can shove. Min-raising, or raising smaller just seems like turning your hand face up. Shoving makes folding pairs and aces very easy for him.
I would probably just call the $85 and then either call his river shove, or raise to all-in yourself.
based on the action he probably doesn't have an overpair, and he probably doesn't have a draw.
I really feel like you're up against AK, AQ, AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, J9 and some medium pairs, here alot. Alot of that range beats you, but after his turn bet, you have less than the pot left in your stack, so you're not folding trips. Just play it for value and hope for the best.
