    "I made a G today"
But you did it in a gambler's way,
    Takin' money from the fish
    "I gotta get paid"
Well hey, that's the way it is...

Now for the man whom is mostly responsible for this. He was running 69/47/4 and would play every single pot he was in for stacks if he hit any piece. He actually ran his stack up to $1600 through his insane aggression and killer suckouts. Then the universe righted it self.

That second hand is so awesome. 200 BBs deep and donking it all off with queen high.

By the way, how many tears of rage and sadness would you have cried if he had quads there?

Endless tears. I hadn't hit anything, be it a pair or a decent hand with equity vs him forever until this two hands which actually happened pretty close to each other. The way he was running earlier i would almost have expected quads. Some other classics of his:

in ur accounts... confiscating ur funz
I think that was only the second or third hand that guy raised, and it was already a couple of hundred hands into the tournament. There's a possibility that his raising range actually was AQ+, JJ+. Still a very strange laydown... he could very well have been card dead, plus Phil was short stacked at the point.
He did catch Kings and Aces about every orbit after that, so it worked out for him I guess.

Phil plays a very strange shortstacked game... like limping with 1/4 of his stack from the button... It doesn't seem to make sense, but you can't argue with success, right?
The strengh of a hero is defined by the weakness of his villains.
  15. #240
dude a couple hundred hands into that tournament would have been like 7 hours, no way they were 7 hours in

    Also Phil had 15BBs, 15!

Yes, you can certainly argue with his success, as Matusow put it perfectly "Phil, you've been playing tournaments for 15 more years than me, and I have 4 1million dollar+ cashes and you have ZERO, you must be the greatest."

I thought the best part was how the video opens with Matusow scratching his head like a monkey.

I gotta say, Dean, your play there is kind of baffling. You were getting good pot odds on every street so I kind of understand, but that guy practically screamed into a megaphone that he was weak/blocking for some garbage or other.
