Default Pushing KK in early stages

I realise that this may be a stupid question, but I've always thought that as far as learning a new skill goes, there are no stupid questions, so I thought I'd get you guys thoughts on this. Been reading these forums for a while but this is my first thread.

Is pushing KK over the top here the move to make every single time against a very tight opponent? (Only 2nd hand he'd played, first wasn't shown down.) Can we ever flat? Thanks for any responses.

    I'd absolutely push here.

Not a stupid question at all.
Pushing is a decent move here, however I prefer to call here, he will probably lead after the flop and you can push over any non ace flop, if an A flops and he bets I would probably fold

Nothing wrong with calling. Like TLR said, villain will probably lead and you can shove most flops. Me, I'd probably just shove over pre-flop. I like your 4x raise with KK utg, 7-handed.

Like he said, i would call and no ace on flop push.

at the $3.40's I shove over pre flop. you'll get called often enough to make it a profitable play. at higher levels play as TLR states.

Shove is better imo for 2 reasons:

    1) very tight opps probably have little or no 3 bet fold range

    2) he's probably not c betting when he misses with Ax or gets a bad flop for his PP. If we had an aggro read calling would make more sense. Even in the good scenario where he always c bets we fold the best hand on Ax flops sometimes.

I recommend to shove since it is a tight opponent.

Tight opponent will not put more in after flop unless you are beat. Why let that happen if you aren't going to earn any more?

You might get called with a few hands that you dominate, and you only are a dog to one (1) hand.
