Default AA...Overpair, 3 way pot, donk shove...

    PokerStars - $5.25+$5.25+$0.50|1000/2000 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
    Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

    SB: 57,396.00
    BB: 67,020.00
    Hero (UTG): 55,316.00
    MP: 32,015.00
    CO: 154,051.00
    BTN: 58,751.00

SB posts ante 250.00, BB posts ante 250.00, Hero posts ante 250.00, MP posts ante 250.00, CO posts ante 250.00, BTN posts ante 250.00, SB posts SB 1,000.00, BB posts BB 2,000.00

Pre Flop: (pot: 4500.00) Hero has A A

Hero raises to 4,000.00, fold, fold, BTN calls 4,000.00, SB calls 3,000.00, fold

    Flop: (15500.00, 3 players) J 3 2
SB bets 53,146.00 and is all-in, Hero ???

OK, we were pretty deep in the tournament. 400 or so runners left from 7,300 entrants.

I had only just moved table around 15 hands ago so villains are pretty much unknown. SB was 38/25 and BU was 13/0.

What do I do here? I think his shoving range is 33-22, JJ, AJ, QQ+. Maybe also KQss... I also hold the blocker to the nut flush and I still have BU to act behind me.

    Thoughts?

I'm never folding this. This is almost never a set. Usually a flush draw, pretty often a tpgk hand.
Some days it feels like I've been standing forever, waiting for the bank teller to return so I can cash in all these Sklansky Bucks.

you're 2/1 ahead of the very tight range you give. he'll show up with 88 more that you'd think. Folding should never enter your mind.

yea, never folding there ever. If he had a set, you'd think he would let you Cbet then put in a check raise to get more value. I agree that he could do this with 1010 99 88 as its a pretty easy board to miss for you, some donks like to shove AK when they miss the flop too for some reason. Either way, super donkalicious on his part.

this ^ (even though I don't like posting 'this')
I think I've had this be a set like once (yah.. & I happened to call it off that time, LoL)

never folding, take a note with what he had so you gain a better understanding of his checking range if you run into him again.

no matter what he shows down here he played it poorly.

You can pretty much discount/eliminate sets and QQ+. On a pretty safe board almost no one is going to do this with a set. QQ+ maybe cold calls, but being OOP with a caller in front most people are going to 3bet pre. Expect to see a lot of AJ, KJ, Kx ss, Qx ss

Call and pray the button doesn't do the same.

Yuk. I think I fold this seeing as we're invested for a mere 2bb and button is still in. I don't agree that this is rarely a set. If this muppet is capable of donkshoving for 4x the pot or whatever it is, then I don't see how anyone can say with confidence that it can be top pair but not a set. Yes, anyone with half a brain will not donkshove a set here, but clearly this guy doesn't possess half a brain. He got deep by getting lucky against hands that struggle to fold. I think this is a set more often than top pair, this guy seems to be banking on getting a call from an overpair. We know he doesn't have a juicy A4ss A5ss combo draw, which I can see shoving outright.

Folding might well be a mistake, I'm not pretending to know what's best here. But that's most likely my thought process as I tank my time and eventually fold.
