25 nl FR. sick turnspot. 3b pot btn vc CO in pos

Felt like a pretty gross spot ingame. I assumed i needed 29% equity ( he didnt shove whole stack but left like 4$ behind but i looked at it as if villain was all in. So now it comes down to assigning villain a range. I assumed villain could have following range

villain : 66,33,AQs-A2s,KJs+,QJs,JTs,T9s,97s+,86s+,75s+,65s,54s,87o,76 o

against this range it's a clear call with like 50% equity. my main question , is it reasonable to give him this range( i left out sets for eg >>> doesnt make much diff still 47% equity) extremely weird being donked into on the turn after I RR the flop which he donked as well..

maybe not unimportant to mention that this is ' zoom' poker.

Secondly Villain has not folded vs 3 bets so far. 0 out of 3 occasions

Thirdly. it's not unlikely. people don't like folding SC even in 3 bet pots oop. But this is a general assumption for recreational players


even if i delete the offsuit hands liek 87o and the worse SC's than technically it's still a call equity wise. the whole thing boils down to whether how he play the hands i have put in his range. EG if he would be XC the whole time than obv i should bet the turn when X to me. I guess it boils down to frequencies. but since i hardly know the guy the only thing that's in front of us are ' reasonable' assumptions. The line he takes looks really strange because he is folding out alot of my calling range which would make sense if he's bluffing. Or he is isn't concerned about ranges cuz he's just a random recreational player who wants to look bluffy but has an extremely nutted range.


The line itself just doesn't make much sense , int he micro's that usually means nutted hands but maybe i'm seeing ghosts under the bed.

I don't see a point in going through the exercise of putting him on a defined range in stupid spots like this. You just need to estimate the plausibility of him having an ace going to the turn and go from there. His flop line looks a lot like a draw, he doesn't seem like such a donk that he could have vanilla AJ. I think a hand like A9 of hearts is quite plausible for his line, as is A7.


I'd fold. I don't think he expects us to fold here and he should be scared of our hand. He's apparently not. If you are good here its against some sort of mega draw like 96 of hearts or something.
