That is it!! Thanks Fozz.
This is my 1st orbit at table (6th hand). Villain has limped / (over)call raises oop every hand so far.
On my 1st hand, he stacked off in a limp pot on the flop with bottom two (43) vs. my...

Villain is 12/0/1 over 26 hands. He is a silver star which, at 10NL, means he's somewhat of a regular.

Thank you kindly.
Those were already checked. What I ended up doing is modifying the file .../Config/prefs.xml and changed the field 'disable_hero' from 'True' to 'False'.
I disabled displaying my own stats in HEM a long time ago, and I cannot figure out how to re-enable it. Does anyone know how to re-enable them?
No reads on villain, but table as a whole was rather passive postflop. Btw, this is a full-ring table with missing players.

And you think this is a bad thing?
If you assume his range is only Ax, then you check back the flop, and fold to a turn bet. But if you assume his range for calling your 3bet preflop includes...

Good point!! I bet the flop for value but I didn't expect to get called. The turn made the board a lot more coordinated, and I didn't feel comfortable playing for >100bb with just an overpair;...
His call sent some loud bells telling me to proceed with caution, plus the board was getting quite coordinated.

Aren't 1 and 2 contradictory? In 1, JJ is great to cbet on Axx flops since only few hands in his 3-bet calling range hit the flop. But in 2, you imply that Axs are a big part of his 3-bet calling...
Is this for 6-max and/or FR? If for 6-max, how do you adjust for FR?
It seems obvious and I should have stated it in op but I assume we are behind on the flop. And if so, we raise to induce him to fold a weak but better hand than ours. Right?
My question is this:...
