Default MTT Question from a cash grinder

Ok so i got bored with playing cash (as i often do) and decided to deposit $220 (100BI) for the $2 180 mans (turbos). Going to attempt to grind up to 100BI for the next stake.

I use to grind $16 SNGs back in the day and was pretty much breakeven. Check out my sharkscope graph . So my i got some background in ICM.

    Ok now the questions:

    1) So i take it early on in these 180mans there is very little ICM consideration ? Take small edges ?

    2) Start considering ICM near the money as the difference between 0 return and double your money warrants consideration.

    3) Once in the money gamble it up till near the FT bubble as pay day jumps again?

4)When i was playing SNGs i use to push bot <15bb, and make small raises with 15-20bb. 20bb+ mostly 3x it. In general is this still a good approach?

5)When it comes to reasteal shove what is the ideal stack size ? We dont wana give our opponent 2 to 1 so that is a 10bb minmum but what is the maximum?

    6) Am i ever jamming 15bb+ unopened ?

    7) Is a 100BI roll reasonable ?

    8) When to use the stop-go ?

    9) How important is a HUD, and if using one what stats/setup ?

YOu tourney guys dont wana give away the secrets ?

    More questions.

    10) Is there a tool for calcluating ICM say with 22 left when 18 pay ?

    11) I find myself trying to own with low twenties of players left. Is this generaly the correct idea? Even if i am lying say 12th. WOuld it be better to survive into the money, but then wouldnt i be hurting my chances for a top 3 ?

Come guys help out this cash donk

As far as I know ICM works when 10 player left.

According to Harrington, this is where you need to tighten up since most people think they are in the money and they gamble.

    - push/ fold when M is less than 5 ( M= your stack/(BB+SB+total antes)

    - as you M gets lower you need to be more agressive.

Yep, take any edge you can find

    2) Start considering ICM near the money as the difference between 0 return and double your money warrants consideration.

Your better off ignoring the money bubble and just abusing the fact that most tables tighten up considerably. Generally a great time to build a stack

    3) Once in the money gamble it up till near the FT bubble as pay day jumps again?

Yeah still take small edges as your stack will usually be in the 10-30BB range and have little room to work with

4)When i was playing SNGs i use to push bot <15bb, and make small raises with 15-20bb. 20bb+ mostly 3x it. In general is this still a good approach?

When antes come in, 2.5x. Shoving with <15BB's is a good idea

5)When it comes to reasteal shove what is the ideal stack size ? We dont wana give our opponent 2 to 1 so that is a 10bb minmum but what is the maximum?

Most people resteal with 15-22BB effective stacks

    6) Am i ever jamming 15bb+ unopened ?

Good spot to do this is blind-vs blind vs a guy who is capable of restealing

    7) Is a 100BI roll reasonable ?

Seems fine, maybe a little more for big fields (1k+)

    8) When to use the stop-go ?

Pretty much never see it anymore because it rarely works

    9) How important is a HUD, and if using one what stats/setup ?

Definitely helpful but you rarely play long enough at a table to get reliable numbers. I'd avoid putting most postflop stats in your HUD. VPIP/PFR/Attempt to steal is what I use
And yeah, completely running over the table near final table bubble is almost always your best strategy

    Not that I know of.

Completely running over the table near final table bubble is almost always your best strategy. you'll need to call shoves a little tighter but its similar to money bubble situation: picking up easy money before FT will help you secure a top 3 finish

Use 30-day free trial of SnGWiz, theres an option to see cEV

my SNG qiz expired ages ago .

I just dont wana post a million hands a day asking whether my jams are good, where if i have calc i can see myself and also extrapolate.

Then just post hands concerning ranges, and dynamics.

Could i maybe setup a cEV calc in excel ?

Use M, not BBs. The formula has already been given ITT (extremophile)
