Default Most profitable very small micro stack games

I've been playing $2.20 180 turbo SnG with decent results but am starting to think that at this level there would be more profitable games out there. It seems to be profitable at these games one must play tight early, then go into push/fold mode and use fold equity to take down the tournament(such as when you can increase your stack by 20% or so) However, players at these levels are fairly prone to call an all-in and I've been thinking maybe it would be more profitable to play non-turbo 9 SnG/ double or nothing, since I can be extremely tight and let others bust each other out and I can just ride my starting stack to 4th/6th place and take it from there. I'm not sure if it will be that easy though but that was the general idea, or maybe even cash games, but I don't really want to venture into cash games as I think it may put of my live tournament game.

When I first started out I had a very limited bank roll as it came from me winning a free roll; I started playing 360 person 10c games; they had no rake, the players were terrible so I would have had a huge ROI% However, the prize pool is so small. I tried to do 16 games at one time but found it too difficult to manage

At the far end of the table
The non-turbo tournaments will have more experience players in them making it harder to win. The bottom line is that there is no easy way to making money in poker. Where ever the money is the better players are sure to follow.

if you want to play extremely tight, SNGs are the best format.

i like Turbo Sngs, generally you'll have a lower ROI in turbos, but playing more games in the same time actually increases your profit. all low buy in SnGs are soft and profitable, like drmcboy said sometimes you have to be unbearably tight (Having to open fold AK isn't super rare.) Learn ICM, and really get down your Push/fold game and you'll have no problem having a decent ROI at SnG's.

Actually having a huge ROI on the Double or Nothing 9-handed SNG. Played over 500 $1 and 200 $2 and about 50 $3.

Don't think like this...I know its cool to be good at poker and make $$$ but it really doesn't help long term. I would highly recommend sticking to 9 man SNGs and learn ICM etc. Not just learning it but knowing it to the best of your ability. If you want to then take shots at big money play steps.

9 man SNG are good for bankroll building and learning the game. If you are average, you should be able to keep your initial deposit and make your bonuses slowly without reloading while you learn. SNG are different than MTT in strategy so make sure you adapt to the SNG prize structure. I prefer turbos and you can make good returns here as well.
