I'm relatively new to pokertracker and was wondering what exactly aggression factor means and the number that is assigned to it. I assume the higher the number, the more aggressive a player is. I also notice that my aggression factor seems to change alot between the different tables i'm playing, so how many hands would a player need to play to have an accurate aggression factor rating. A general explanation of aggression factor or any information woild be greatly appreciated.

I don't mean to repost this, but i'm dissapointed no one has replied. I thought this was a place where i could a post a question and have it answered, in one way or the other. Please guys, if someone could just sum up what the aggression factor means, it would be greatly appreciated.

usually if a question goes unanswered its because it was missed
aggression factor is your aggression ratio, ie how often you bet or raise vs how often you call. so an af of 3 means bet/raise happens three times as often as call.
i believe that aggression factor is a worthless stat to have on your opponents. it takes a lot of hands to get it right, and even then very few know how to use that information correctly.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

It is a ratio. That means if you never call you get infinate agression. This stat needs other stats to get a decent picture and is misleading by itself, due to its name.
There is a big difference between someone who raises a lot and someone who never calls but they would have the same agression factor.
