With a new season of the Gauntlet approaching, we want your feedback, and this is the place to put it!

What would you like to see in the new season? What would you like to keep from previous seasons? All your comments and suggestions are welcomed!

Admin needs to be very proactive when it comes to advertising the games. People need to be reminded constantly about the games, otherwise everyone forgets and we end up with 5-player tourneys every week.

To help increase participation, consider asking some high profile FTR members to do you a favor and play a game or two. Get them to commit to certain games and make sure there is at least one "known" person in each game. People are more likely to come out if forum regulars are going to be there.

Are you considering hosting Gauntlet in PokerStars Home Games?

Can we run Gauntlet on Home Games so Americans can play?

I've always wanted to play but never could. I'm not available during the evenings during the week. I would totally be into Pokerstars Home Games for a Saturday/Sunday game or during the week in the early afternoon.

Thanks for all the posts so far!

To answer some of the requests, our current plan is to run the Gauntlet on Pokerstars Home Games so that US players can play, with two games a week - one on Wednesdays and one on Sundays at a time that suits both Europeans and Americans!

there can not be a buy-in if we are having us players involved.

we will be awarding prizes, and nonUS players are welcome to pay a league buy-in, but it will not be required.

I don't think not having a buyin is a big deal since it used to be between $5 and $10 anyway. It would also probably allow me to play on work computer so I could make Wednesday night matches. I'd be interested to play in this if we could get other regs to participate.

There's gotta be some cash involved just to stop me playing like a fucking moron for a laugh like I do in the 2c hyperturbos, so even if I'm having a $10 bet with one person that I finish higher, that would make it in my interests to play my best.

So yeah I'm in for a small side bet with anyone who wants to spice it up.

That said, it creates problems with optimal strategy for the game as I have a monetary inventive to finish above you and a separate incentive to actually place aa high as possible in the game, but meh, I wanna take your money.

FTR will have no problem with last longers although it won't be involved in them and it'll be purely between players. I'll probably enter a few of them too

Heh. Much depends on the prizes, if they're decent enough then there's no need for side pots, but I just want to ensure that I don't get bored mid game and start spewing for fun, which I will do if we're just playing for an FTR cap and hood or something like that. Let's wait and see the format, and take it from there. I'm happy to throw ten bucks away to make it interesting. Even happier to take money from all you fuckers who give me a hard time hehehe.

Would it be possible to create a prize pool for non american players (have a mod that is registered collect and distribute the fees) in additon to side bets?

Getting high profile players to join some of the games will be great, getting a bracelet winner will be amazing

I think that mixing 1-2 omaha games in the season cannot hurt

TLR, we've decided unfortunately that it would be too much hassle and risk to take buyins from Americans. However, we would not stand in the way of players making personal bets on their performance in the league personally, but we couldn't take any responsibility for these.

We've decided that this season will be NLHE only, but there will be some forum Omaha events in the near future!
