I've been asked this countless times. So here it is.
Xian·ti ['zhän-tE] n : ...
My real name is John Kwon. Years ago, a friend of mine who has a knack for intentionally saying things funny started calling me John-tee in lieu of Johnny. As this new moniker matured (with months of drunken comradery), its pronunciation became less stringent and more slurred. John-tee evolved into Zhawn-tee. I then took it upon myself to develop an ingenius pseudo-Chinese spelling for Zhawn-tee (although I am Korean, not Chinese).
Xianti was born.
Years later, I decided to Google Xianti on a whim. To my surprise, I discovered that it is a real Chinese word ( )! Literally, it means "immortal body." In usage and loosely translated, it means
...God.

Only Xee-ann-tee over here would think people care enough about his name to warrant a thread about it.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

I remember seeing you in vent once or twice... everyone would jsut kinda mumble your name in a barely audible way, cuz no one wanted to offend you, but didnt know how to say it.
I always find that stuff funny, like knowing people though text mediums, so sometimes you never even take the time to phoenically recognize someone, you jsut see the text. Or you do sound it out but just kinda make soemthing up cuz it doesnt matter since you never say it. The same used to happen a lot when I played video games more, when I was freinds with these guys that where into games. We would be talking about the game, like for example a unit in this one strategy game was called a zealot, and one kid would always say zee-lot, and it was alwys funny. We would tell him but he insisted it was indeed zee-lot. Hes a retard though, seeing as the word zealot is not fictional but describes someone of a fanatical nature, and it is definately pronounced zel-ot.
anyways, good to know how to really say it xman

I thought it went
Zi (like the way you pronounce the letter Z)
an (like you pronounce aunt, but without the T)
tee (like a golf tee).
Correct me if I'm wrong?

To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

Wrong. Two syllables only. But, if you say zi-an-tee faster, it could be two syllables and sound almost right.
