You have to start waking up earlier. If you go to bed at 5 am, set your alarm clock for 8am. Set your alarm clock for 8 am the next day. Then 7 am the day after that. You will start falling asleep at night.
Even if you did stay up until 8 pm after being up all night and day, it isn't going to change what has become your sleep habit. You may even wake up at 7 am the next day. You will still not be able to fall asleep at 10 pm the next night and you will still be stuck in the same pattern. The only way to fix this is to start waking up earlier, not staying awake longer.
