I hope you and yours are ok after today's tragic events. There really is not much I can offer.....other than telling you that you are in my thoughts today.

Thanks guys, fucking terrorists piss me off. Its the cowardice of the whole thing that really gets me. So far, given the number of devices the death toll seems fortunately low, i don't know if it'll keep rising as more info gets out, i hope not.

Toasty, don't think itt is 50...yet. Alistair Darling just said it's still 37 on the radio but will probably rise. It's been a weird few days. I stay 3 miles from where the G8 summit is...and it was chaos here on Wed...then this in London yesterday. Anyway, cheers for the sentiment guys. |

My gfs friend was in london when it happened. She was running late and missed the first bombing. If she was on time, she woudlve been right there when it happened. Its scary how something so far away could make a difference so close to home. |

I don't know what to say besides that I will never understand what drives terrorists to think that harming hundreds or thousands of innocent people will accomplish anything but them getting hunted down and killed. In the back of my mind I am worried that they were not all suicide bombers...

I think that the bus bomb was a complete fuck up on the terrorists' part. |

I completely support hunting them down... but worry that the loss of rights and changes made to our society to ensure safety is what the terrorists want. They cannot seriously think that any sort of terrorist activity is going to change the international policies of a country. By forcing us to change our daily activities they may believe that they are winning. I worry that the means to the end of terrorism, while possibly justified, is simply not worth it and may be playing into their plans. I just don't see the war against terror ever ending.
