    Default Chromecast

Anyone else buy one? I just hooked it up my gfs and it works pretty awesome with Netflix and a laptop. One issue it won't automatically skip to the next episode when watching TV programs. Bought another one so I can use it while traveling.

Anyway, was curious if anyone else was jumping on early.

Wanted to buy one for $35, but did not pull the trigger fast enough to purchase one before they got sold out. Buying cords for my 8 inch Nextbook tablet and Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone to hook up to a TV instead. Then going to run XBMC software and Google Chrome for most of my viewing needs. Have already bought G-Box MX2 and Vizio Co-Star media players for other houses that I stay at. This Chromecast is supposed to be a cool toy. Glad to hear you got your hands on one.

I found a nice deal a few weeks ago that included a 3 month credit of netflix streaming ($24 value). Considering it cost me <$15, its well worth it. My biggest issue is that it needs to be plugged into the outlet all the time...I was under the impression it would hold a charge for awhile.

There's a cool feature for Chromecast via desktops where you can stream your entire screen - not just your current Chrome tab. You'll need a pretty fast PC/Mac and a good Wifi connection for it to stream smoothly though. You can also play your local video files in a Chrome tab - just drag it onto an open tab. I don't think it will play .avi's though

Amazon.com still says sold out. Are there any places that have it in stock right now?

Just buy through Google. They say 2 weeksish but they're coming in a little early now.

Just tried to connect in the hotel to find out chromecast is not compatible with hotel networks <insert technological mumbo jumbo here>. Now I have to watch "Game Change" on HBO or Duck Dynasty. Sad Face.

    I'm downgrading ChromeCast from a 9 to a 7.

Cool, it is good to know the wait isn't really 2 weeks.

Takes me way longer than two weeks to get some of my electronics I order from Hong Kong. Right now I have been waiting 3 weeks for a mini HDMI to HDMI cord for $3 to hook up to the 8 inch Nextbook.
