    Default LuckySlevin learns bankroll management

initial stake of 75$ . stake to be moved from site to site as directed by the stakers. Stake to last until bankroll reaches $2500 after paying the coaching milestone payments.stakee agrees to play exclusively on the stake account(s),one off exceptions may be discussed. Bankroll includes all of the stakee's share of bonus, vip, rakeback, winnings ,stake and cashed in points
    stakers are KRCMDC,McStackn,Keith,Gareth and Goatian.

    Bankroll management.
initial stake will start with 75$

    2nl move up to 4nl at 120
4nl move up to 10nl at $250 move down below $90
10nl move up to 20nl at $600 move down below $180
20nl move up to 50nl at $1500 move down below $450

    payouts ..
    ------------

15% of roll at each $500 landmark:stakee cannot withdraw from the role until the stake is finished except to make the milestone payments.

i.e when bankroll hits $500 you pay us $75
    @$1000 pay us $150 total $225
    @$1500 pays us $225 total $450
    @$2000 pays us $300 total $750
@$2500 pays us $375 total $1125 then grind it back up to $2500 to end the stake

    total profit therefore of 2500+1125-75=3550

at 50:50 split is 1775......less 1125 already paid + repay original 75$ stake leaves $725 to pay us and would leave stakee with a 1775$ bankroll and still comfortably rolled for 50 nl

    rakeback.....
    -----------------
this will be discussed between the stakee and stakers depending on which room is being played .

    penalties...
    --------------
all money lost playing above stakee's bankroll stake he owes us and will be taken from his share of the split at the end.
If the stakee goes bust at 2nl following the style that we advise the stakers will stand the loss of the initial stake. We don't want the stakee to think they can play fast and loose at 2nl and gamble trying to move up quickly. This is where the solid foundation to the stakee's game is going to be made and help to give patience.
If the stakee has a negative share of the split at the end of the stake , he owes us the money anyway. This is to deter stakee from playing above their roll.

    early redemption..
    ----------------------
if stakee starts playing a stake above what they are rolled for or the coaches or the stakee think that the stakee is unlikely to benefit from further coaching, we reserve the right to end the stake and split the roll at that time.

    reporting progress.
    -----------------------
daily record of hands played per day, daily profit and current bankroll to be kept in coaching blog and copied across to FTR staking thread.
hand histories to be uploaded at the end of each days session so that coaches can look for leaks.
once roll is sufficient to move up , post a screenshot to prove it and wait for permission to move before actually playing at the next stake. If you go through your move down limit, you MUST move down immediately without waiting to be told to do so.
top 3 winning and top 3 losing hands to be posted in your private coaching blog each day for feedback.(excluding AA all in pre flop)

he's potentially going be playing 10nl with as little as $90.05? seems odd.
anyway, good luck to all involved. i'll be followin'
  4. #4
nah ......with 90.05 he'll be playing 2nl unless he has moved up to 4nl . If he hits a downswing at 4 nl he'll move back down to 2nl at 90$

    updates?
  10. #10
shipped him the money last week, and he had trouble creating an account since he already had one that he'd forgotten about . Then he got it altered so that he could create a new $ one and once he'd done that it wasn't a $ account and so was going to have to have details changed so he could try again . This was friday and I havent heard a thing from him since.

[30/04/2011 19:12:44] Gary M: cool ok thanks see you
[30/04/2011 20:41:29] Gary M: keith am still waiting on them to email me have just spoken to live support again, apparently they've escalated it, will come onto skype as soon as i get the go ahead to create account from them
now when he gets his ass together and logs back into skype he'll see that i had tried to arrange sweat sessions with him on saturday and sunday. I consider that the stake started when i sent him the money so expect him to obey the daily updates even if its only "still having trouble creating the account" not for him to go awol.

Just heard from Gary that he's been ill over the weekend and is getting the account created today, so hopefully we can get this rolling.

    Session 1: played 1079 hands so far : +$4.95 BR: $79.95

Not sure how to paste ipoker hands into FTR yet??? Will update 3 biggest winners and losers later today after final session. 9 tabling now and it seems fairly straight forward as I'm playing my new 2nl style - which seems to be the easiest way of playing I've ever encountered...

    Three biggest losing hands:

    1. Early in the session and I made the mistake of committing the cardinal error and being the donkey who stacks off with tp... I'm pleased this review is built into the agreement, as it forces me to realise my idiocy here....

    2. Guy was playing 56/22, I think I must have miss clicked here, as I can't think of a time I'd play this trash ordinarily preflop... especially not using the tight 2nl strategy i'm learning from McS's videos...

    3. Really don't like the way I played this hand. My thinking pf was i'm ahead of most of their limping range, and I can't really play aq this multiway oop - so i'll raise with intent of taking dead money down... then i get donk lead into on flop, which I give no respect to (i need to fix this leak - just treat donk bets as usual bets) - and now he only has so few behind i findmyself thinking i can't really fold by time we get to turn... moral of story is I need to learn how to play aq in a mway limped pot pf i think, perhaps just fold pf?????

    3. This guy was perpetually 3betting me, (he has 3 bet me last 4 times I had raised, and I had folded all but once and called / folded to ace high flop the one time I had called) - with hindsight, I'm still not pleased with this, why invite variance into my game? This isn't following the strategy... worked out here, but even if maniacs do try to 3bet the hell out of me, perhaps I should just grit it up and wait for a monster still????

Damn your 3 biggest losers could have easily been avoided but at least you mention that
  15. #15
yep, talked through them with him on skype in a 3 hour sweat last night. Also pointed out that he shouldnt have been in the 2nd beiggest winner hand either according to our strategy.finished the sweat with gary up almost $8 with a maniac fish on one of his tables who was down $20 in about 30 hands who was shoving virtually every hand.I had closd teamviewer and call had finished and gary typed he had AK and the maniac had 3bet him small. told him to call and blame me for going outside the strategy. flop bricked and maniac cbet, called again.villain shoved a bricked turn and gary called.river was a 4 and maniac showed 84. i said shit happens, and logged off ....didnt expect to see garys update to us when i woke up this morning ,so wait for his update.

jesus christ what is going on in loser #3? making readless hero calls is certainly not the way to beat the microstakes. as for your questions about preflop, you can most definitely raise it up for value here. your opponents will likely be limp/calling a whole heaps of dominated Ax hands and other stupid broadway combinations. and if they all fold, that's not a bad result either.

Hi guys thanks for support and advice.

Had a very good sweat with keith yesterday. I played very badly when he left, tilting off... about 10bi's. Yes 10bis. Because fish he referred to stacked me twice (he was playing 90/40 over about 80 hands) and it tilted me to bits... and we were playing 4 tables for sweat and they started to break and I got too involved with individuals on each table. Keith and the team have been very good about it. I am annoyed at myself, but I will learn from it.

Upped the tables today in an effort to get the volume in over the next few weeks and get some real progress under our belt.

    Played 14-16 tables for 3 hours, 2.2k hands + $7.88

here are the high's and lows...

Worked hard tonight, tilted for about 30 seconds (2nd and 3rd biggest losers) but managed to get things under control before the redic spew that happened yesterday. I tilt when I make it personal I have to stop doing that. But a good session this evening I worked hard and managed to get a decent number of hands in.

    Biggest losers

    Hero shows K K
    (Pre 17%, Flop 8.4%, Turn 4.5%)

    UTG+2 wins $5.54

    2. Tilt. I did type out some kind of thought process but it's pointless so I deleted it. I will cut these out of my game.

    Grabbed byHoldem Manager

    BTN shows A A
    (Pre 78%, Flop 60.7%, Turn 79.5%)

    BTN wins $3.77

    3. More tilt. This was the start of my tilt. He 3bet a couple of times in a very short time and I was getting no cards. Again had a couple of lines of me trying to justify this but of course pointless. It's pure spew. I will cut this out of my game.

    MP1 shows Q Q
    (Pre 82%, Flop 90.2%, Turn 95.5%)

    MP1 wins $2.72

But on plus side the reason these 3 were biggest losers (and two of them were for less than 100bbs is because I did play much better than this throughout the rest of the session)

    Three biggest winners

    1. This guy was calling pretty quick and seemed like he wasn't keen on folding

slev, as much as i've always admired your positive outlook. i think you have a pretty bad case of counting your chickens before they hatch. poker is far too big a bastard of a game to put any trust in. it can really kick you in the nuts, even if you are good at it. your progress is great - i'm genuinely glad to see you sticking to a plan and getting the deserved results. and i've enjoyed following your progress out of degeneracy land via your blog posts. i just can't relate to this "i've made it now. no looking back" attitude you seem to have. it's simply not true and even worse, it's probably harmful for your long-term goals (via complacency and the slippery slope back to degeneracy, which is where you have spent almost all of your poker time over the last x amount of years)

no hate intended. as i said, i wish all the best and i am glad to see that you are most certainly making solid steps. i just think this "i've done it now. i am a profitable player! no looking back!" attitude is kind of poisonous.

Although I agree that his Slev's post seems kind of results oriented and 'possibly' skewed towards his prior mindset, I'm hoping that he meant something more along the lines of 'no looking back. No way I'm going to return to my old spewtastic mindset'.

well, Gary blew the entire roll playing headsup poker from 2nl to 50nl outside the terms of the stake , this triggered the penalty clause and he said that he would be paying us the money he lost when he gets paid at the end of the month.
