Free Poker Tracking Software: PokerHands
There's a free program called PokerHands that's used to track online poker in the same way commercial programs like PokerTracker and Hold'em Manager do. It also has a working HUD with a wide variety of stats available, including 3-bet stats. It has some advantages and disadvantages over commercial programs:
Advantages:
- It's free
- It's the only tracker for Badugi and 5 Card Draw games (including Triple Draw and Lowball)
Disadvantages:
- It's not as powerful in terms of filters as commercial programs
- Little to no support, so it relies on asking others who use it
- It's hard to set up if you don't know shit about computers
To this last point, I'm going to try to make this as easy as possible.
There are two things you have to have installed on your computer before you can use PokerHands:
1. Download and install PostgreSQL (Skip this step if you already have PostgreSQL, PokerTracker 3, or Hold'em Manager installed)
REMEMBER YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD WHEN YOU DO THIS
YOU WILL NEED IT LATER (It's fine to use the defaults, username: postgres, password: dbpass)
EnterpriseDB: Download PostgreSQL Installers
2. Download and install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Download details: Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86)
Then restart your computer before the next part.
Next, download PokerHands: PokerHands.zip
It comes in a zip file. Extract the zip file, and find PokerHands.exe. This is the program you'll be using.
When you run it the first time it will ask you to set up your database
Put in your database username/password and hit the test connection button to make sure it's connecting

Okay so you do that and it comes up, you'll need to click the import button which has a blue arrow pointing to it here

From there, have fun and give it hell.
