    Default live tourney rule.

If you have the NUTS on the river betting round, you MUST raise if the last action is to you. You cannot just call. Penalty for not doing so is sitting out the blinds once.

I had never heard of this rule. Is this standard?

Why wouldn't you raise?? But it sounds like an Anti collusion rule. If you have the nuts and don't raise on the end, something must be up. I've never heard of it.

I agree with you on both counts.

This is a rule in the Concord Card Casino in Vienna. I have played a few tourneys there and most of the players seem to be regulars. I also figured it was to keep friend A from sparing friend B some chips.

However, I was just wondering if this was a rule anyone had come across in other Cardrooms.

If you don't know you have the nuts, this works as an effective "idiot penalty".
    On moving up, properly rolled:

it's a rule, but we don't want idiots to sit out though, so it's too bad when that happens, much better having them play and win their chips
