I think just about everyone has your problems in issue #1: Me wants da monies but don't wants to do shit. This is the same problem I have. What I've tried to do to counteract it is by creating money as my motivation. Here's what happens though: I play poker hardcore for a month, then fuck off for a month because I can.
As for the "not genuinely interested in getting to know any of my professors," be genuinely interested in having one of your professors interested in getting to know you.

this is pretty much exactly how I feel. When I was in culinary school, the school would host "meet and greets." Which I always found to be really transparent and disturbing. Like... you walk around and talk to a bunch of people, not because you want to talk to them, but because they have something you want (employment and/or internships.)
