I think this could be the answer to our problem. Since the angel can't protect himself, he's always vulnerable, so he should be protecting the medium. An exposed and protected medium can tell us what info he got from a dead villager.Quote:

Can it benefit the wolves? It means the medium will die the day after the angel, that's the only drawback I can think of. If the medium is hidden and outlives the angel, he would still need to out himself when he has something to tell us, effectively committing suicide. If he's outed, he can tell us what he knows as we go along, or wait until the angel is dead, whichever he feels is better.
Also, let's not have a "I'm not the medium" roll call just yet, that only helps the wolves while we discuss the pros and cons of the medium outing himself early.

I have already explained it in previous posts, if the medium reveals his knowledge as it gets it, or the villager announces who he is looking up, then it makes the wolves job easier, since the wolves cannot allow too many confirmed villagers to be alive, if they know who is confirmed they will just eat him, and the angel cannot protect him since he has to protect the medium. TLR... I've got to be honest, I really don't know which route the medium should take, I just wanted the village to discuss it so we get some ideas out in the open. The medium has a lot to think about, ultimately it's down to him and his judgement.

Also, a fake outing would at least give us a wolf. In the event two "mediums" are outed, the angel would have to flip a coin and decide which one to protect. The wolves probably nom the real medium, leaving us an easy lynch next da. If they decide to leave the medium alone, well it's a matter of time before the real medium gives us a wolf to lynch to prove himself. The wolves would basically be sacrificing a wolf for the medium. I don't think that's too bad for the village when there's only 3 wolves.

Gator, I don't really think hoopy is particlularly wolfy or particularly anything, but it's day one, nobody is particularly wolfy yet and a lot of the points about hoopy that have been made I believe are true (ie the disappearing and being a bit crap later on).
Also, FYI, my lack of posts is down to my phone being dead, but its back now, god bless its sweet, sweet curves (insert gif of man stroking HTC desire in ambiguous yet possibly sexual way), so I can read and post during the day now, and I asure you, I intend to do very, very little work today now that my phone is back!

sticking with BR honestly every game i have played i have never seen him get lynched, after countless BW's and also he seems way different this game (every other game he has been a villager), its as good as anything for me on day1.
i agree that the medium should keep his lookups to himself and villagers shouldn't tell who there going to look up, but i think the medium outing himself is good. yes the wolves randomly hitting the medium is the same as them randomly hitting the angel but at least if the angel gets hit the medium has a chance to share the info he has, where as if the medium gets randomly eatin we get nothing. the angel is pretty useless right now since he can't protect himself and the added benefit of being protected from vig shots makes me think it might be a good idea for the medium to out himself. anyways maybe i'm missing something.Quote:

Re medium outing and angel protection concept. I'm down with it. If the angel could self protect I'd be against it, but without that I say make him useful from day 1, protect the medium and give us the guarantee of any info the medium has at the last minute.
I don't think the medium should reveal and I don't think the buddy system will work. Just seems to be too many variables that would help the the wolves.

I think the best lynching info we get on day 1 is from Wuf, Bikes or BR. These defo have the most info we can hope to get. Any other lynch is just gonna be random.

What is exactly the added benefit of the medium? Someone that dies and turns out to be a villager won't know anything more than anyone else so what's the question gonna do.. and if a wolf dies it's not like he's gonna answer.

Well so far I'm convinced that TLR, wilbur, shotglass and fulksy are all villagers.
Gator is too hard to read, especially this early. Benny is a little suspect, but not top of my list. JV is too quiet, but it's day one and he usually comes into the action later. Dan I'm not sure, same with supa and ragnar. Hoopy seems like a villager to me, same with DTB.
Wuf, gabe, bikes, boog... these are all people I would be happy to see lynched. My preference remains wuf because I think it gives us the most info to work from.
BR is shooting up my suspect list, he seems too interested and is making some strange posts, even by his standards.
Anyone unmentioned is suspect through not being involved enough.
Warpe is a problem that needs to be addressed tomorrow. I hope he turns up.

Well, that was a result with bigred. Makes perfect sense too... he was acting wolfy, but the wolves didn't know he was the turncoat. What's very good for the village, though, is that bigred knows who the wolves are... and he was very much against a wuf lynch.
Wuf is so obviously a wolf now.
Something that has been bugging me throughout the night... why didn't bigred fake out himself?
My best guess is because he knew a wolf would get lynched if he did. His vote for hoopy was extremely reluctant, and sort of forced... bigred was in zugzwang.
Basically, I think we got two wolves in wuf and hoopy. Bikes is top of my list for the 3rd.
Boog is likely a villager, since bigred seemed desperate to wagon him instead of wuf and hoopy.
Warpe showed his face, it was him who had comments deleted (I saw them, it was just a FUCK i hate playing catch up, or similar).
