Also, as for Wuf's posts, not a single one seems like Wuf the villager to me. He and boog are my top suspects. As for Boog, none of your posts seem logical or well thought out and some are in fact detrimental to the village. Including the ones late yesterday(werewolf day) which I didn't have the chance to respond to. You are my favoured lynch based on posts and events so far. But lets see what the day brings.
I don't hate a BooG lynch but it's thin. The interesting thing about it is that it took off so quickly yesterday. There could very well be something there, either that wolves were pushing for it to be rid of a villager or in order to establish villager cred once BooG turns out to be a wolf in late game.
To expand on that, the BooG train was Roid-Range, Dan, OngBonga and DropTheBanana.

I also realize that, after winning the last game, I will get lynched within the next day or two and that sucks because I can be valuable at end game. Hopefully if I am alive long enough the wolves will just eat me, or the seer will out me as a villager.
As for Wuf I have been waiting to see how he would act the first time as a wolf so I will definitely see if I notice anything out of the ordinary when I review the thread.

Re SDM, we are no closer to knowing his role, I would not be surprised to find out he really is the seer at this point, the guy's a liability. All we can do is ignore any information he gives. But this leaves us with a problem.
Regardless of his role, the wolves are very unlikely to kill him (obv if he is a wolf, but if a villager he is a useless villager and a thorn in our side so no reason for the wolves to kill him then either) which in turn means either he makes it to the end game (bad for us regardless of role, unless special) or we lynch him. But when do we lynch him? Every day that goes on we have more info and more hunches and therefore the inclination to lynch someone else.
We should have lynched him yesterday, both as punishment for stupidity in the hope he'll learn for future games and also to avoid the problem above. Lynching him now is the best solution to the problem, but I already have others I'd like to lynch over him and we're only on day two.

I'm not understanding why villagers are pretending to be seers. From what I understand from SDM's post, he figured the wolves would attack him and the angel would protect him. With this situation, the wolves would lose a kill. That's still no reason to claim to be the seer when you are really just a fucking villager.
I'm still suspicious of those on my bandwagon last night. OngBonga seemed like a villager the entire time and, weirdly, I'm sad to see him go. His logic wasn't half bad and he did a good job in creating discussion. He seems to have agreed with me with those on my bandwagon.

For reasons I described yesterday and his last defence post just not convincing me otherwise at all. I think if he was a villager this game, he'd be inspired and proud of his last game and eager to continue on as a sucessful villager. Seems like his ego would never tolerate a lack of effort to help the village and so I think his aims this time are different, i.e that of a wolf.
I'm going to have a proper hunt through the thread tomorrow and look for more suspects/clues and post something more substantial.

People are getting on me being "off". This is hardly a legit argument. Things happen, people change it up, and good players won't make that mistake. Have I been "off" this game? No. Have I posted differently than previously? In a way, yes. My posting has evolved quite a bit over the games, and I have a new strategy this game due to experiences of last game that include realizing that early game soulreads are mega hard and simply unimportant. Gator finished last game, not Gator and the other wolves, but just Gator. The village has got to get them ALL not just a few. The early game is simply not the place for soulreading IMO, and I realize that now. It's the time for macro strategies, which I have done so far. I also feel like taking more of a back seat in this game because I was in the front for my duration in last game, and generally I've realized that keeping a lower profile is a better way to not be eaten earlier. However, I shouldn't be a hypocrite and call out low content players without myself bringing the content, so I won't do that. But keep in mind that I actually have been providing good content. I find it quite suspicious that people are getting on my case, but I'll get more to that later
But even with all the "off" or low content accusations, which are superficially somewhat true in a way I will expound, I've provided a lot of information. I've been trying to weed out low value and hard to read characters. IMO, this is what the early game is all about. In my process of weeding out low content characters, I believe I've determined that fulksy is as villager as it gets. Sadly, it looks like he may be modkilled, but if he's not, having him as such a huge likely villager is great value because the wolves are going to have a very hard time deciding to eat him, and when it gets down to the wire, the odds start really helping the village
I have been sleeping terribly lately. My back problems have been keeping me from getting to sleep, and I've been waking up earlier than normal and spending all day grinding. This is the first game where I've spent the vast majority of my time grinding while looking over WW. That alone cuts off a lot of the fat of my posts, and let's be frank, there's a lot of fat in wuf posts. Not only have I been worn out, I am actually trying to change my approach to the game by not being as crazy active as I usually am. Keep in mind that my play style has changed a lot over my four games, regardless. And it will continue to evolve
It's wrong to lynch valuable players early. I stick to this almost 100%. Even if I think a player I strongly respect is suspicious, I'm not going after them early because our failure last game taught me it's a much bigger mistake to let the low value and hard to read players skate into the endgame where we have a repeat of wolf-Gator outsmarting villagers who weren't really into the game. If you look at my main big content post in this game, it's all about weeding out those that hurt the late game. And that's really the only thing I'm going to do in the first day or so. If I get really bored I might try find some kind of soulread, but I haven't felt like that yet. Look at it this way, it is considered that the best eat strategy for the wolves is good players in the early game. Now why in the world would the village think that lynching good players in the early game is a good idea?
Finally, JV bolding me out of the blue makes me think he's playing on a curiously high amount of suspicions thrown at me. Do we have a possible wolf team including JV, Dan, and Carroters? Dan and Carroters on my nuts this game, JV bolds me a little later, and now Carroters popping on my wagon? Are we seeing a railroad? Maybe. Maybe Carroters is butthurt enough that he wants to go toe to toe and take me out, maybe JV knows he's the mythical WW god and thinks he can pull off a wuf lynch. Maybe their egos are getting the better of them because they're sadly mistaken that it's a good idea to try to get at me like this. Maybe there is no conspiracy, maybe I'm seeing irrational patterns, but this information will be valuable come the late game when soulreads start mattering. I believe that wolves that played the last game will try to railroad me instead of eat me. They know that if I'm the seer, I'm gonna come out early because I said I always would, and their best strategy to get rid of me might simply be to try to convince the village to gat me. I dunno if there's something there or what, but I'm keeping it locked away until when it starts to matter: the mid/late game

why would SDM come out again to say he is NOT the seer? The wolves would know he isn't the seer and the seer knows he isn't the seer, yet if he remains as the pretend seer their is a slight chance that the angel protects him.
I just don't see why SDM, as a wolf, would retract the seer claim.

I don't have a great batch of evidecne for this, it's more to get shit probing. Some of his posts as are pretty similar to shit he's said in earlier games as a wolf. Starting a new wagon at the end of day one when a villager was about to be strung up could easily be wolf deception. I think he struggles under heat as a wolf from what I've seen in earlier games so, who knows, maybe he'll fuck up again here if he gets some.
@ gator - are you stating that his actions would imply he is almost certainly a villager? If so, there's your answer.
It's the wolves who are trying to bandwagon me - I am betting at least two are in the wagon against me now. The logic is simple: the wolves know that if I'm not the seer, the real one looked me up last night, and are hoping that he comes out to claim that I'm not a wolf, thereby exposing himself; or, I am the seer and they're just trying to take me out cleanly. One thing that wolves hate more than anything is ambiguity. If they kill me today, they remove the "is he the seer or not?" ambiguity.Quote:

Claiming I'm not the seer should have made me immune to lynching. Assume I'm not the seer. Then,
(1): the real seer looks me up and see that I'm a non-wolf. Clearly, if I were a wolf, the real seer would have come out (since the angel is still alive) and said so, since this action maximizes the chances that the village wins the game.
(2): given (1), the village will know my identity once the seer comes out.
(3): given (2), there is no gain for the village to hang me before the seer does so, because there is no point in lynching someone when you know that you will know their role with certainty in the future.
Assume I'm the seer. Then, lynching me as a villager is obviously a -EV move. Thus, lynching me is a bad idea.■
If you were the seer, would you have scanned me last night? If yes, your logic does not make sense. You would have seen me as a wolf and came out to claim I was a wolf and that you were the real seer. With the opportunity of scanning a possible wolf right there in front of you so that you could get the ball rolling and start leading the village, almost no seer would pass on that opportunity. Every wolf kill is huge for the village. The other thing is that with a confirmed wolf kill as a result of a seer claim, the seer is all but confirmed and nobody else can credibly claim to be the seer at that point, which takes out one of the toys in the wolves' bag of tricks.Quote:

I would have liked to have waited just a bit longer before revealing my role but I sort of screwed up. My strong reaction to SDM claiming to be the seer Saturday night was GSP and scotch fueled and I regretted it as soon as I hit reply. The wolves would eventually use it to figure out that I am the seer. That post, combined with wuf's idea that ideal wolf strategy is to get rid of good players (not that I have such ego, but he did say I played perfectly in Wolves vs. Vamps so I'd be on his radar) makes me think I would be eaten shortly.
To the angel, protect me, ldo. Fingers crossed that they don't pick you off shortly.
To the vig, please shoot SDM in the head tonight. I did not look him up, of course, and would not normally want to call out asks to the vig but in this case, wolf or not, we don't need the distraction he represents.
As far as lookups, please don't offer suggestions nor should you offer instructions. I'll present the next wolf as soon as I find him. Conversely, I will not out villagers unless I have to. No need to confirm things so the wolves can pick these ppl off. I don't care if you disagree or agree with this strategy, do not bring it up, do not even respond. If you do, I will harm your pets. I bricked my lookup but I was paying attention to who was online after I revealed my wufwugy lookup. DropTheBanana was not just on FTR the entire time, his profile said that he was in the DOJ Werewolf thread with multiple time changes on the Last Activity line, meaning he was actively refreshing the pages. I checked often. Only after an hour of this did he finally vote for wufwugy, posting the hammer vote when it was painfully obviously wuf wouldn't be saved, and clearly did so to try to buy village cred.
That, combined with him jumping on the Day 1 BooG wagon like I already mentioned and I'm feeling good with this lynch.
