Yeah definitely. Plus, Canon balls move slower than I imagined.
Oh Kari. There aren't many ten out of tens in this world, but she's definitely one of them.
Beauty is subjective. Not a 10 for me, but definitely up there. Someone else on reddit today mentioned a 10/10 that I wouldn't give more than an 8 (Meg Turney)
I remember starting a thread in the commune years ago about trying to find an objective 10/10 and ultimately everyone had their own flavour... the closest we got to universal acceptance was a south african model called Candice Swanepoel?
Who the fuck gives any female a 10?
Personally I prefer scoring out of 30 ala Patrice O'Neal. For example, Angelina Jolie is like a 19. She's a really good-looking alright-looking bitch.
lol you guys need to visit NY
It's the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the 7 Train to the ballpark looking like you're riding through Beirut next to some kid with purple hair, next to some queer with AIDS, right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time, right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It's depressing. The biggest thing I don't like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?
NYC is the zen capital of the world and I am clearly the most zen person on this forum so Idk what the fuck you're talking about.
despite the art, culture, parties, and the amazing music, it's terrible for humans, and people who haven't left the city in years (by choice) basically have stockholm's syndrome.
the real reason i mentioned it is the hottiez
you should see my mirror
having never been to new york I always imagined it to be a lot like the chapter the market in naked lunch.
Spoiler:THE MARKET
Panorama of the City of Interzone. Opening bars of East St. Louis Toodleoo… at times loud and clear then faint and intermittent like music down a windy street….
The room seems to shake and vibrate with motion. The blood and substance of many races, Negro, Polynesian, Mountain Mongol, Desert Nomad, Polyglot Near East, Indian — races as yet unconceived and unborn, combinations not yet realized pass through your body. Migrations, incredible journeys through deserts and jungles and mountains (stasis and death in closed mountain valleys where plants grow out of genitals, vast crustaceans hatch inside and break the shell of body) across the Pacific in an outrigger canoe to Easter Island. The Composite City where all human potentials are spread out in a vast silent market.
Minarets, palms, mountains, jungle… A sluggish river jumping with vicious fish, vast weed-grown parks where boys lie in the grass, play cryptic games, Not a locked door in the City. Anyone comes into your room at any time. The Chief of Police is a Chinese who picks his teeth and listens to denunciations presented by a lunatic. Every now and then the Chinese takes the toothpick out of his mouth and looks at the end of it. Hipsters with smooth copper-colored faces lounge in doorways twisting shrunk heads on gold chains, their faces blank with an insect’s unseeing calm.
Behind them, through open doors, tables and booths and bars, and kitchens and baths, copulating couples on rows of brass beds, crisscross of a thousand hammocks, junkies tying up for a shot, opium smokers, hashish smokers, people eating talking bathing back into a haze of smoke and steam.
Gaming tables where the games are played for incredible stakes. From time to time a player leaps up with a despairing cry, having lost his youth to an old man or become Latah to his opponent. But there are higher stakes than youth or Latah, games where only two players in the world know what the stakes are.
All houses in the City are joined. Houses of sod — high mountain Mongols blink in smokey doorways — houses of bamboo and teak, houses of adobe, stone and red brick, South Pacific and Maori houses, houses in trees and river boats, wood houses one hundred feet long sheltering entire tribes, houses of boxes and corrugated iron where old men sit in rotten rags cooking down canned heat, great rusty iron racks rising two hundred feet in the air from swamps and rubbish with perilous partitions built on multi-levelled platforms, and hammocks swinging over the void.
Expeditions leave for unknown places with unknown purposes. Strangers arrive on rafts of old packing crates tied together with rotten rope, they stagger in out of the jungle their eyes swollen shut from insect bites, they come down the mountain trails on cracked bleeding feet through the dusty windy outskirts of the city, where people defecate in rows along adobe walls and vultures fight over fish heads. They drop down into parks in patched parachutes,… They are escorted by a drunken cop to register in a vast public lavatory. The data taken down is put on pegs to be used as toilet paper.
Cooking smells of all countries hang over the City, a haze of opium, hashish, the resinous red smoke of Yage, smell of the jungle and salt water and the rotting river and dried excrement and sweat and genitals.
High mountain flutes, jazz and bebop, one-stringed Mongol instruments, gypsy xylophones, African drums, Arab bagpipes…
The City is visited by epidemics of violence, and the untended dead are eaten by vultures in the streets. Albinos blink in the sun. Boys sit in trees, languidly masturbate. People eaten by unknown diseases watch the passerby with evil, knowing eyes.
In the City Market is the Meet Cafe. Followers of obsolete, unthinkable trades doodling in Etruscan, addicts of drugs not yet synthesized, pushers of souped-up Harmaline, junk reduced to pure habit offering precarious vegetable serenity, liquids to induce Latah, Tithonian longevity serums, black marketeers of World War III, excisors of telepathic sensitivity, osteopaths of the spirit, investigators of infractions denounced by bland paranoid chess players, servers of fragmentary warrants taken down in hebephrenic shorthand charging unspeakable mutilations of the spirit, bureaucrats of spectral departments, officials of unconstituted police states, a Lesbian dwarf who has perfected operation Bang-utot, the lung erection that strangles a sleeping enemy, sellers of orgone tanks and relaxing machines, brokers of exquisite dreams and memories tested on the sensi-tized cells of junk sickness and bartered for raw materials of the will, doctors skilled in the treatment of diseases dormant in the black dust of ruined cities, gathering virulence in the white blood of eyeless worms feeling slowly to the surface and the human host, maladies of the ocean floor and the stratosphere, maladies of the laboratory and atomic war…. A place where the unknown past and the emergent future meet in a vibrating soundless hum… Larval entities waiting for a Live One…
I've watched Seinfeld so I know this has to be pretty close.
I have a harem of young boys languidly masturbating in trees around my house. Keeps the property value up.
Man I love Burroughs.
dont kid yourself, 90% of the chicks posted to /r/beautifulfemales are 10s. unless your name is spoon and you don't save your "this is how to treat females in order to maximize positive outcomes regarding them" thing for when actually dealing with females.
0-9 is better than 1-10, and I've probably fucked more 7+ girls than every guy in the past two or three pages of this thread combined.
It was that John Rocker quote that got him in so much shit in the late 90s. The guy is hilarious.
I reckon I've been to more raves than everyone on the last two or three pages combined. I've surely smoked more spliffs. I've also probably spent more time not working than you lot too. I wouldn't swap lives with you for shit. Success and bitches? Fair play. But to be happy with nothing, well would you still be a smug twat if you had no job no money no bitches? I am.
I've had everything I've got taken away from me more than once, and I've always gotten it back and then some. The money and females do not make the man. My comment wasn't about "look how awesome I am" so much as defending against an attack concerning how I handle females. Apparently that's the popular thing to do around here lately.
To your comment, I think that it ultimately doesn't really matter what any of us do. We're stuck here for a while, and then we're gone, and the only real difference (and an infinitely small one at that) in the overall big picture is what we decide to do with the time we have. I've decided to do what I'm going to do, and you've decided what you're going to do, and there's nothing wrong with either because right and wrong doesn't come into it. You wouldn't switch lives with me (and I wouldn't switch lives with you) because those switched lives don't match up with what the other wants.
fwiw i've never meant anything about "how you handle females". i think you probably handle them spectacularly. in fact ive been meaning to ask you to expand on how you tutor females math differently than males.
my comment in this thread wasn't about handling females but about discussing females with dudes. the other disagreement from a week or so ago wasn't about you either (unless ur gf wrote the fb post). tbh i have a feeling you would handle the situation much better than that doofus did anyways.
I'm debating whether or not to make Adolf Hitler my facebook profile pic. I'm trying to weight how much it would upset my mom to how funny it would be to me.
um if upsetting your mom is the only problem that would cause then you have to do it. moms (at least the loving ones) are fantastic at putting things that upset them about their kids aside
My mom dropped by work today to bring me cake, so, yeah... Made it this instead:

Bro, HIIT will transform you.
The computer before me blows my mind.
My old TI-86 calc was a bit of a wonder, but understandble...
This?
This is fuck magic.
The TL;DR version is that I focus a lot on managing anxiety with females since that's the #1 killer of both interest and learning the material. I've not had success with this approach in kids under about 12 since they tend to just not be anxious and really just not care.
Related to the girls and math and learning and the girls in competitive games thread too...
Between 11-13 years ago, I ran a big county-wide chess situation for the elementary/middle schools (our elementary schools were K-8 at the time and included middle school grades). There were eight elementary schools, and they all had chess clubs. I would visit each chess club about once a month (about two visits to schools each week) to teach and extend an invitation to a weekly group I had going at this restaurant near the center of the county. This restaurant had some big conference type rooms full of tables and chairs that they were nowhere close to filling most of the time, so they let us reserve it for one day each week. They enjoyed it because most of the kids ate something there, and it gave them more business.
I want to point out that this chess club at the restaurant basically stopped happening after I handed it off to an elementary school guidance counselor about 2-3 months after I had to move out of the area for school.
At its peak, we had about 60-70 kids coming weekly for somewhere between 9-12 months. This actually led to me getting a job offer from this chess academy in Charlotte (http://www.charlottechesscenter.org/) for $20/hour full-time, which I stupidly turned down because of the timing and having already committed to moving to Raleigh right after I finished my second year of college, but that's kind of outside of the scope of what I'm wanting to bring up here.
So out of these 60-70 kids were about 10 girls, and they mostly took advantage of the chess club there as a chance to socialize (with one exception that I'll get to in a moment). None of them were particularly interested in getting better. In comparison, virtually all of the boys were there because it was an opportunity for them to improve.
The one girl exception I mentioned above was in the 6th or 7th grade, and she was the youngest of five children. She had four older brothers, and she was constantly in competition with them. She was largely socialized to be competitive, and because of that, she was a bit of an outcast from the rest of the girls. She really thought they were pretty dumb because they didn't care about being better and just "wanted to talk about boys," etc.
This really stood out to me as being a good example of the majority of the girls kind of acting how they naturally act and the exception acting differently because of environmental factors. This was particularly interesting to me because she was very feminine in her appearance and how she acted otherwise, and she was frequently even the only girl there to wear a dress (the others would be in jeans and t-shirts). She got a lot of attention from boys too, and she seemed to blow most of them off because she thought they were dumb.
CDC busts the myth that men commit most domestic violence, and it's not even close:

It's all about standing on the shoulders of giants. This is decades in the works, from just the programming level. The hardware to accomplish this is also decades in the making.
It's mind-blowing, but if you've been following the baby steps along the way, it's been kind of tediously slow progress.
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped..._Telephone.jpg
Some of those baby steps seem like gazelle leaps to me.
Some of them truly were / will be.
Some of them look like leaps, but were really just a baby step, magnified. An advance in material science or manufacturing processes can lead to a smaller tool die. The smaller tool die can make smaller transistors. The smaller transistors fit more closely together, reducing the time for a signal to propagate between 2 consecutive gates. The smaller gates mean more can be fit into the same volume, so the complexity of a given chip can increase by many orders of magnitude.
The initial change was a material only slightly better than the previous one, but the outcome is a new computer chip architecture.
Also, that phone is bogus. The numbers are in the wrong spot.

See that 1 is the closest to the pin and zero is last?
This is what tipped me off:
The area codes were distributed by population within the zone. NYC was most populous at that time, and got the area code 212, the lowest possible code, given other factors (can't start with a 1, etc.). Hawaii was given the highest possible code, 808, accordingly.
The most populated area codes were the shortest to dial.
I design in boolean logic. I get how a rotary phone yes/no's its way to connect a call. I get how a touch screen yes/no's it's way around the internet. But how you take in raw visual data and pick out the traffic commands from the wandering citizens... that's magic.

There's heh and then there's HAHAHAH

holy crap im crying with laughter
It's still a series of yes/no's. You take the data of one image and you perform an edge detection algorithm. You have a lookup table of what different configurations of edges mean. You no/no/no/yes through the data table until you find a match. Then you follow the instructions attached to that yes.
You do all that for one image and you go to the next image. By comparing consecutive images, and relating various edge-detected-entities from one frame to the next, you build a velocity space by seeing where each object is in relation to where it was.
Then you have another lookup table that says, when object XX is moving in YY manner, perform ZZ Top's hit single, "Sharp Dressed Man."

(Who can tell them apart?)
lol: the drummer from ZZ Top's name is Frank Beard.
The story of how they grew their beards is pretty interesting. They both grew them out independently.

milo yiannopoulos is easily one of my favorite people. even when you disagree with him, he's entertaining and has just enough charisma to keep going. if you dont know anything about him, he's a gay conservative provocateur. seems unusually high iq and well read as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FvADt-mJ_o
i love how much he loathes gays' embrace of mainstream culture, like how what can be sometimes assessed as gay privilege to subvert norms is itself subverted by the embrace of mainstream culture. it's not so much that he's right (no single side on the issue of either embracing culture or subverting it is exclusive in its correctness), but it's a neat point.
spoon should love him as he claims that gay men are intellectually superior to straight men.
Literally nobody cares about strict gayness because it's so tied to white males. It's all about trans now if you want to get into the real victimhood shit because that's where you start seeing a super-high incident of mental illness and poor "men" wearing shitty makeup and calling themselves trans because they were picked last for kickball.
I like men, my brother's gay and my other brother is a neckbeard, so you do the math on that.
Semi-related: All women are bisexual or gay, according to some new shit that's out now, and I can confirm that I have never, ever, ever met a woman who was 100% opposed to fucking another woman.
he has some fantastic points about how he thinks gays are being pocketed by the authoritarian left and in turn subjugated just like everybody else, meaning that gays used to be leaders against the behavioral herding of divergent cultures yet are now mostly convergent with the herders themselves. it's about how those who just twenty years ago suffered great intolerance have become themselves intolerant of others. he's not saying that this is gay culture, but that gays and sympathizers are in the early stages of being converted into intolerant warriors of the authoritarian left. the left does this to everybody, just like it hijacked feminism and civil rights and even education and turned them intolerant, among many others.
Also, everybody knows that liberals are fascist shitheads.
I won't hesitate to give Jeri Ellsworth a 10/10. There's something about self reliance that makes women hugely attractive to me.

A chick going in about how she believes in ghosts is such an enormous turn-off.
I think we actually ran a guy out of the FTR IRC chat back when it was booming like 5-6 years ago because he went in on how he did as well.
What's important (to me) isn't the words they use to describe what they believe, but how their beliefs mold their actions.
Are they kind? Are they considerate? etc.
These are what matters.
But yeah... talking about ghosts as if they are real is a turn-off.
https://www.hongkongfp.com/2015/11/1...on-taipei-mtr/
Wow, what an absolute dick. Why did nobody on the train shut his fucking mouth for him?
Need more Murca up in thur.
Seriously. I ride the Metro busses and trains to and from work. If I saw this crap going on, I'd be all over it. To be fair, though... I wouldn't have my first week or two on public transit. It was only after I saw other people taking this line that I felt empowered to do so.
How do you say "hahaha dude you have a fat neck" in Mandarin?
honestly this is a big reason why ive become quite pro-christian the last few years. i dont care if people believe in myths and legends. we all have our fairy tales and we all believe wacky things.
if people need god to feel a sense of purpose and community, let them have it.
but they can and do wipe themselves. so there goes your theory.
everybody, even you, believes in some really stupid stuff that looks irrational to others but is rational to the self.
ironically, the dismissing of people based on unsound beliefs probably stems from the unsound belief that we can control the world around us. it was only after i understood my mortality and my place in the universe that i could see the silliness and futility getting my panties in a wad over what people believe. life is a room that looks like it needs to be cleaned but can never be.
People have always been like this, mocking the sanity and intelligence of anyone who believes in things that the majority think is stupid. Like, anyone who believes in ghosts has obviously been watching too much tv and not going to enough scienece lessons at school.
Just like anyone who believed magnetism was a thing before science could actually explain it. Or all those muppets who thought the world was a sphere back when it was flat.
I'm not gonna sit here and pretend I believe in ghosts, but I'm pretty sure that's a fucking shit load for science to yet dicsover that would right now seem like magic.
Why is someone who believes in ghosts any more unsound in their thinking than, idk, someone who believes in God, or Allah, or that when we die we just decay and that's the end of it? How can anyone have any of these answers?
Here's my answer - I don't know.
Nor do you, nor does anyone, and those who pretend otherwise are deluded, whether they believe in Allah or Casper.
C'mon, now ong. You know that spoon only views people in 3 groups: women who want to fuck him, men who those women also want to fuck, and all the other shithead-losers who didn't make either of the first two categories.
By your own logic, he's above being mocked for these beliefs. By his logic, he is fully justified in thinking you are both wrong and out of line for not being more aggressive about how you express your judgements.
Right, so long as you're making no distinction between the two, that's fair enough. Both religion and ghosts are essentially pseudoscience.
That doesn't mean outright proven to be false though.
There's nothing wrong with the belief itself, imo. What's wrong is the "I can't be wrong" mentality. And that's not something that only religious folk and flat earthers are guilty of. Many atheists think they are somehow different to religious folk, when actually they ram their non beliefs down people's throats in exactly the same way.
I think it's stupider to say "ghosts definitely don't exist" than it is to say "ghosts might exist in some form, and if they do there's a scientific explanation for it". It's like saying flies definitely don't have thoughts. Easier to say that prove. No less pseudoscience than what you're trying to mock.
Using flat earthers as a point of reference isn't particularly accurate. I mean there's proof the world is a sphere. There's proof these people are either idiots or trolls.
There's no proof one way or the other with shit like souls, consciousness, or that elephant with the arms.

Ronda Rousey confesses to domestic violence; nothing is done about it:
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...uble-standard/
of course. she could probably get away scot-free with manslaughter right now. she could EASILY get away with violent sexual abuse. the irony is that she is an atypical woman whose life and values don't actually reflect what the typical woman wants, yet she's thought of as a hero for the typical woman because the culture's narrative is that women are oppressed.
the real female champ is joanna jedrzejczyk. ronda rubs me the wrong way.
So, Paris.
A bunch of Muslim terrorists they let in the country with their lol politically correct circlejerk open border policies orchestrated simultaneous attacks on at least 6-7 sites in France. Big fucking surprise there. This is the same country where it's illegal to ask for a paternity test.
In other news, the sky is blue.

Also, if you want to read some funny shit: https://www.reddit.com/r/TwoXChromosomes/
So in all seriousness, the topic of effective immigration policy is more or less a balance between the safety of the people already in the country and the wants (and sometimes needs) of the people who are trying to get into the country (including logistic factors like what happens when a country grows in population too quickly). There are plenty of people who could immigrate to the country that would create a net positive for everyone, and there are plenty who would create a net negative. If policies on immigration are too strict, then they create an effective net negative for the country because they keep out too many people who would have a net positive effect. On the other hand, if policies on immigration are too loose, then they create an effective net negative for the country for obvious reasons.
The politically correct/SJW victim culture has pressured several governments in Europe into having immigration policies that are entirely too loose from optimal. That's why Sweden is currently the rape capital of the west (source, source, source), and it's why attacks like the one in France last night are going to keep happening until something's done to get things back closer to optimal.
france being just a rowboat ride from africa might have something to do with it.
