:00 good, :01 bad
For example should be in vote counts
Or whatever the mod decides is good/bad
Solid jailering, wuf. Way to keep me up.
God damn it BID. GOD DAMN IT.
Also, now I'm mad I got shot. I was gonna play the confirmed villa, no way I'm ww with baud card soooo hard. Damn you both!
I think the time stamp this is problematic because my time stamps don't have seconds.
In court, 12:00:01 is late. But meeting someone at noon and showing up at 12:00:01 is clearly fine. It's not clear cut.
bruh
i blame baudib for being a mess
LOL!
maybe we could use a generic rules sheet that is pasted in every OP of each game.
it could include things like "all votes on or after the three digit time of eod do not count"
but yeah that was much better than my previous wolf games where i just went inactive cause fk being wolf
LOL
It's not an issue here because we almost never do POG style CFDs. Except this game.
but on POG and MU there are vote counters with the :00 good, :01 bad and of course the thread auto locks at :01.
I think the big issue here was the fact that Ong stated at :52 that day ends in 8 mins, which does not lead me to believe I need to vote at :59. Rilla must have thought the same thing.
I mean there's no angleshooting going on, both Rilla and I clearly have the intention of voting JKDS within the deadline.
Obviously as the most powerful wolf I'm voting anyone (including JKDS) other than myself and I was active and obviously looking to snipe.
I think barring a clearly stated "votes after :59 do not count" or a "IT IS NIGHT" message, those votes should count.
The disallowed votes, I guess I've set the precedent as far as my modded games go.
During the ten minutes I was mulling it over, I was trying to justify allowing the votes. But I knew the instant I saw them that I felt they were late.
I'm not sorry for the decision, but I am sorry I wasn't crystal clear, and for the casual "8 mis left" reminders. Like rilla says, learning curve. I'm sure it's happened here before, but I couldn't specifically remember a game, and figured it would take maybe hours to find a precedent. I felt like I was making the technically correct decision, one which I stand by.
Thanks to all parties for not allowing it to become a problem.
Actually I was probably making the technically correct decision.
I mean there's a ridiculously small chance that the first or even both of those votes were at precisely 12:00:00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 etc
Obviously this game is tainted and the win should go to the aggrieved wolves.
Lettuce forget this game actually happened.
The amusing thing is, I was refreshing as deadline loomed thinking "why the fuck isn't baudib on luco or jkds yet"
BTW, Wuf's case on why it has to be Gator was as hilarious and bad as him reading BID villager last game.
SMF truly GOATed it here by ignoring how a wolf treated his partners and just shot the wolfy people.
SMF for MVP over Rilla by the slimmest of margins, I'll never really understand why Rilla was all over me from post 1.
This village was truly annoying. JKDS had it right when he said he couldn't really come up with anything wolfy anyone had done.
For instance, Rascal, having not randed seer for the first game in forever, was unusually active on D1. Even Hoopy was villagery FFS.
The only really bad posts from villagers came from BID, and when there was no momentum to get him lynched it was pretty much gg. Especially since BID actually had good reads.
Don't think it mattered anyway ong thx for game
Looking forward to the next one
eh you get a partial pass. i did say "im pretty sold it's gator". i remember meaning "im pretty sold on gator", which is different.
anyways that was more of a "it's a case that works and im sticking to it in this time where who we lynch doesn't really matter"
I really enjoy playing on this site with you guys btw :)
It's more ww than anywhere else I've played
I don't think it's biased because of two villa wins. Moreso short threads, easy to read, easy to post whatever I'm thinking
Oh and good formats
we keep a solid crew
GG guys.
gg everyone who participated (not me)
everyone is too good at villaging. we need to give the wolves a handicap
I'm glad I was right about Luco and hoopy.
Gabe and gator, you should have helped us better to get the perfect villa sweep.
Thanks for modding Ong.
I'm interested in playing b2b games on ftr indefinitely. It's very enjoyable to me.
Thanks to this game, I've figured out how to read baudib...
Spoiler:ask rilla
Yeah the jkds shot was strong, gj SMF
I found that when trying mafia scum formats, wolves are typically disadvantaged. Dunno why, but it always seems like the village is favored.
I'm gonna assume that it's down to small sample, I mean approved setups are supposed to be balanced.
Just had a look through the den thread, yeah my reads were pretty bad this game. The only saving grace is that I had the good sense not to hard defend anyone and I ultimately sheeped the right people
That's not true. I just skimmed a couple of pages and didn't have a hard time pegging Kami as the last wolf. Maybe I was biased by not reading the first 10 pages but wasn't too concerned. I felt all along village would win and that helped me not stress over being too busy to help out.
I feel like I have revolutionized FTR WW. In the old days you guys woulda lynched Gator and Gabe just for being inactive/out of fear.
Now everyone's a D1 soul reader FFS.
what i think happened is we don't have nubs playing much anymore. d1 used to be about managing the crowd
gabe was never an early lynch because he had not gotten wolf in forever. gator was though. plus, d2 this game, we only had 4 lynch options and it didn't really matter who went first since they were all going to go.
