I just scanned through the thread to look at drew's posts. I think he's a wolf. Here's why...

drew is agreeing with me and talking to me as though I'm a villager. This would be fair enough if he actually said he was townreading me. Drew is actually the only person who has an accurate read on me, and he's somewhat proud of himself for it. He's nailed my alignment early on for probably over a year now. Where is his bragging here? Where does he remind us how sick a read he has on me and tells us all I'm a villager? He doesn't. Yet he's agreeing with me and whatnot.

That said, I'm reluctant to lynch him d1. He only ever flips seer when he dies before d2, I fucking swear it.

I don't think I am as good of a villager as I get credit for, and while some of the early posting was annoying I have already come to enjoy the way you guys look at the game.

Ong, here is my problem with you tunneling someone. You go into it with a perceived notion and then fit their narrative to meet your notion. You did it the last game with baudib and it distracted the village to the point where rascal almost skated to victory. When you deep dive on someone go into it with an open mind, not a pre-conceived notion.

I think gator is a very difficult wolf to spot, but is isn't so hard to spot as a villager. I know that kinda sounds illogical, but he manages to do the right things as wolf to stay alive, and usually on d1 that involves not getting drawn into conflict. Here, he's making too many enemies early on, which isn't in his long term interests. He's not thinking long term. He's trying to find wolves.

I think I can read gator, but the test comes next time he's a wolf. If he's a wolf here, then I can't read him, at least not this early.

Well, I was looking to see if he did actually say anything about me. Had he done so, I'd have probably town read him. I had an open mind as I read his posts. He seems otherwise villager, but it's definitely worthy of note that he's failed to townread me while agreeing with my points, considering his track record of successfully reading me.

The problem with players like this is that they still rand wolf now and then, and I see too many ~balanced-range players get randomly defended (by villagers, even!) for being acting like themselves when it's pretty much their wolf range

I'm pretty much never down to let people skate regardless of their personality and/or meta

Regardless I want to lynch between BID/Rascal/Rilla today but not sure which just it, let me chew on it

yeah I think BID/Rascal for sure, I can totally see Rilla as a wolf here and he should be uber easy to read as a villager when he is one. But I'd hold off on him for now.

Let me see what I can do here, even though i haven't read their posts this game (just got home from work).

Wuf - posts too much to be successful as a wolf but stated before this game that he was going to change that up, even if it meant getting lynched early a few games in a row. I would expect wolf wuf to hold that line pretty well, but villager wuf would fall back into normal posting mode. Also reads too much into random shit which murkies some of his good finds. You REALLY have to read through his posts to find the gold as a villager, but that gold is easier to see when he is a wolf.

Rilla - Really good at reading tone and finding wolves through their disingenuous attempts to find wolves among villagers. I don't remember a game where he was a wolf, but I would expect the tone reading to fall closer to the disingenuous side than genuine.

Hoopy - Very methodical in his thought process so while his early game reads may not be great his late game reads are pretty spot on. Doesn't read tone as much as he puts pieces of the puzzle together around late D2 - early D3. Pretty tone neutral as a wolf so pretty hard to spot.

I'll answer this:

wuf - as a villager, he talks about himself all the fucking time. However, as a wolf, he only talks about himself in maybe 80% of his posts. He's also very very active in both roles, so it's unfortunate that he's busy irl during this game.
rilla - one of the best quality:quantity posters. As a villager, he hunts wolves well. As a wolf, he hunts wolves well.
Hoopy - IDK... I've never gathered a good read on either him nor JKDS for some reason.

FYI my epic soulread I have on him is 100% tone, so him playing differently as far as tactics are concerned does not affect my read.

I think that a major feature of BID's villager style is he makes very crisp posts, short posts that are easy to understand and sometimes have sharp observations included.

In that hotshots game I remember telling him he should stop overexplaining in his posts because he doesn't do that as a villager. I feel like this post is something I'd expect from him as a wolf.

rascal and wuf are using irl excuses for their lack of content, albeit wuf stated prior to the game (which is a solid strat even if irl is not busy). Anyways, both are > rando wolf.

I never have a read on JKDS. Ever. Fuck him.

Hoopy and evene need to participate more.

I have zero reads on the other new players and I'm sure I've missed many...

Hoopy noted the bolded part above. This doesn't really make sense because obviously being busy is role neutral and both have been saying these things for several games now.

I was sharing a hand history with a friend today about a live game I was playing last night. He's a very successful player whom I admire and respect. We came to this exact same conclusion in that I play retarded because I'm constantly thinking to myself "This would look hella cool on TV".

the problem I see is that it's the opposite of throwing pasta at a wall. in this long post, it's by far his strongest stance.

WW is frustrating for obvious reasons. Add to that, the constant ridicule I receive. This makes me want to change my game somewhat.

So it's a catch 22. I'm ridiculed for playing lazy. Then when I make a post with effort, players then get on my case about how I must be a wolf because I put effort into the game.

My last vanilla game on 2+2 was Aids and a half, I think I'm only playing mashes and turbos there, and play vanillas here.

I legit don't think I can be a good wolf anymore, my villager game has changed so much I don't know how I'd pull off this style as a wolf.

I remember you being a high-functioning wolf volume wise but that you had trouble duplicating your mindset

Same thing I struggle with but I can coast on my weird charm as a wolf for long enough to kill all the relatively competent players

But I won't play werewolf at POG as long as the Rogue Monkey dictatorship is in effect, it just doesn't feel safe anymore
