What's the point? People who don't believe he's dead will just say its a photoshop, or not really him. People who do believe he's dead don't need it. People are going to believe what they are going to believe regardless of what evidence is released.

Besides, if he were still alive, wouldn't he jump on this opportunity to show that we are full of shit by making another video with him holding up todays newspaper? The fact that he hasn't should be proof enough for anyone...unless you want to take the conspiracy to the level of "we are cooperating with bin laden."

Actually, I'm surprised that al-Quaeda didn't have something pre-prepared. Either some post-mortem rant along the line of "you got me, but you won't stop us", or a lookey-likey holding today's paper going "nyaaah nyaah!".

However, your logic is a bit flawed. The absence of a rebuttal isn't really proof of anything.

I'm curious to know why, given the chance to take him into custody and gain a huge amount of intel on the rest of his organization, ST6 chose to just "break a hat on his bottom". Or whatever that colourful US phrase is.

Me either. The longer things go on without a response of some kind makes it more and more likely that he's...shall we say...out of circulation.

I'm not sure that I would have done a cover up if captured. I prolly would have tied him to a stake and broadcast his execution across al jazeera like they did when they cut off that one dude's head. Of course that would have been after many 1000s of hours of interogation and posturing/gloating about the capture including condemning Pakistan for hiding him.

Obama Admin's plan is for them to leak at a later date. This is the most correct avenue. It allows them to take the calm and honorable road by not inciting aggression and such and not be connected to them when they come out. I've seen it spelled 'oar' before. It always puzzles me when dumb people opt to misspell a word by choosing the phonetically harder version.

I've also seen 'sure' misspelled as 'sher' and 'shur' within the same paragraph.
