BR is a little over 30 BIs for 50NL and running 4.8bb/100 hands in last 20k hands at a nitty 12/9. Trying to mentally prepare for 50NL. What can I expect at 50NL diff than 25NL?
Getting 3 bet more?
Less limped pots?
etc.?
Should I ease into it with a couple of tables (usually play 6 at FR) just to get my feet wet?
Should I wait to upgrade HEM or go ahead and do it now?

When I shot took at 50NL the only real difference I noticed was the standard stuff. More 3betting and positional awareness and less really bad people at your tables. However, it wasn't a huge difference and personally I wouldn't say it was any harder than 25. Granted the sample size is pretty lol.
I agree with the lol sample size. But I have about 150k hands at 25NL most of which I was clicking buttons and a non thinking player. Once I started thinking and doing the range thing, things changed alot.

Maybe it may be worth your time to stay at 25 for a little while longer. Your button steal/raise is low. As you open up your game you are going to be in spots that you have never been in before and it's better to practice at 25 then 50.

Thanks. I do plan to stay at 25NL until at least $1750. Need to know which parts I need to work on before moving up. I'm fairly weak tight anyway. That's the part I want to change the most.
the difference between 25nl and 50nl is less than you expect. Soft 50nl tables are way easier than tough 25nl tables.

yes to less limped pots
3b won't change too much, although you may want to check behind before iso-ing more often
players are more positionally aware, and generally a little more aggressive
you'll find more 11-9 types, and run into a few low income pros
as an 11-8 player you may find it harder to profit cos you'll get paid off less often, your graph (redline) indicates how much you rely on showdowns with nut ranges.

re your stats, in general, you should steal more and 3b more. Only difference between you and 13-11 is your play from the cutoff and the button.
What !luck said is incredibly valid - i suggest playing 50% at 50nl and 50% at 25nl. Don't change a thing during your 50nl sessions, work on opening up in late position during your 25nl sessions. Typically it seems that making big changes at the same time as moving up results in problems....
Hey, Sasquach, great job. I've been out of the loop for a while, but I remember you were once frustrated with the lower limits like $10NL and now you're on the verge on $50NL. Solid work :)
It's been so long since I played $25NL to $50NL on Stars, I'm sure the landscape has changed since then. Ironically, I am starting back up after a 6 month break and have chosen $25NL as my entry level spot, so hopefully I'll be able to see again first hand the differences in today's landscape, but if and when I do, I'm sure it won't help you by then. Maybe you can tell me :D
Out of curiosity, what type of full ring games do you play of 50bb max, 100bb max, and 250bb max? About a year and a half ago when I was working my way up, I distinctly remember for 20bb to 100bb games that 25NL was pretty easy, 50NL got a LOT harder, but then 100NL got easier again. I never really understood why, but suspected it had something to do with price points where 100NL was a nice round number where you could make money and 25NL was also a good jump from 10NL that players wanted to take shots at. 50NL was this middle ground that didn't have as many fish ... that was my theory anyway. But, your guess is as good as mine for today's landscape.

I've been trying to steal more but seem to get myself into trouble sometimes by hitting 2nd pair, hitting draws, trying to barrell against regs, etc. I'm getting better at finding spots to 3bet and better yet folding when I'm pretty sure I'm behind.
I'm not sure about playing 2 stakes at once. Maybe I'll start out with 4 tables instead of 6. Since I won't have many reads or stats on players I won't get bored cause I'll be taking notes.

I had about a 3-4 month breakeven period at 25NL and couldn't figure out why. It came down to something M2M said about me a year or so ago which was that I sucked at ranges. Opened HEM and really started reviewing hands/using pokerstove regularly and it made a big difference in the past few months. Plus I stopped playing 50bb tables and switched to 40-100bb tables only.

Point taken, but I've read somewhere on FTR or saw in a video that you can't be a winning player at 50NL if you're a nit. Seems like it was M2M that said it.
If you're serious about becoming a good player and moving through the stakes, you need to forget about being a nit and open up your game from LP. Play a wider range, get comfortable with, get to like it. The more hands you play well from LP the better you'll get postflop and the more money you'll make from stealing blinds and from having position vs weaker players.
you don't need to add a lot of bluffaments into your game to not be considered a *nit* anymore though, it just seems like you're missing value a bit, at least preflop (i think you're underestimating positional advantage)
